Except that questline existed in beta before the addition of tamable undead beasts which happened only by popular request by hunters on a thread started by a Blizz employee on twitter asking what kind of pets hunters would want to see.
It’d be more likely that it is for Dark Ranger customization as the titles refer directly to Dark Rangers in its title.
I hope so. Would kinda suck for it to be restricted to Hunters, since I think the look would be great on Rogues and pretty nice on Warriors, but as long as undead Thalassians become playable on the Horde in some fashion outside DKs I’ll be happy.

I don’t even like the blood elf model that much. I have one voidie and one regular flavor. I loathe the voice files for both genders.

I mean, I’d still have to level a blood elf hunter anyway just to rock the new look. But that’s good news for me. I got Hati back on my dwarf and my goblin. I’m weak.
Decided I’d try a Dark Ranger mog, since Somand was a name used on Dark Rangers in WC3 and all. It came out better than I expected. Also, I’m finally making use of the DK hair being no longer class restricted.
