I know some people don’t like the cash shop, but I hope Blizzard adds more cosmetic transmog sets to the store that I like the look of. I’m not entirely sold on the Sprite Darter set as a whole, but the potential for mix and match with several of the pieces is significant enough to me that I’d have bought the set even if I wasn’t planning to go with a 6 month sub already.
I’m only surprised it’s taken Blizzard this long to start taking advantage of cosmetics in this way. FFXIV makes a killing from outfits in their cash shop. I would have expected Blizzard to be all over that too.

I don’t mind the cash shop, so long as it has things that are funny/off-lore. I hated when, during WoD, they got a bunch of mounts that should have been reputation rewards, like the grinning reaver, fae dragon, Iron Horde rylak… But weird cosmetics, exotic mounts and so on? I don’t mind at all.
I also pay 6 months in advance anyway. Only stopped doing it early-2020, when I let my subscription expire. I lost the rat mount because of that, but who cares? It’s just a novelty…

Hopefully when AR get’s there turn, they decide to have model toggles in game.

Not to be a downer, but don’t expect it.
While I think we may eventually get alternative body types, it won’t come any time soon. It’s a lot of effort. The best we can hope for right now is to a few more things like alternative stand animations (like orcs) or slight model change (boneless undead).
But here’s a fun fact: zandalari and darkspear troll models are different, but use the same texture mapping. That means trolls/zandalari could get model selection somewhat easily.

Well, I made a thread with customization hopes, based on one that I made in the beta forum (and some of the hopes posted there ended up happening, like DK hair colors available for all, and human/dwarf facial hair being split into mustache/beard)

Believing that AR will get a customization upgrade in line with Core Races, when do you think will it happen? Somewhere in Shadowlands timeframe, or not earlier than 10.0?
Part of me WILDLY hopes that AR do not get new exclusive customization, but instead are merged back with their core races, sharing most options were possible, or becoming alternate body types -leaving the room open to add more in the future- (With faction restrictions where applicable*)
Cause here’s the thing, with how WoW models actually work, a dynamic body type system seems unlikely, so a new body type would have to be a new model.
*As for races that cross the faction line, such as NB and VE sharing options with their Core Races, would depend of how strict the faction binary remains.
I guess they are trying jewelry over tattoos because the jewelry can show over armor.
It’s not what I was expecting, but I actually like the results quite a bit. I’m not against tattoos either, obviously, but they would be invisible in a lot of armor sets.
I like the human necklaces, and the Blood Elf jewelry looks good with certain mogs.
There are some great ideas for additional Elf customization in this thread. I’m very glad Blizzard has decided to prioritize this type of thing more. Players are starving for it lol. It has been sorely lacking for most of the game’s history.

I guess this is an ok way to look at it, after all in bfa they are expirementing on armor that appears like tattoo’s.
But it doesn’t replace a real need for actual tat’s

They need to make an expac where all it is, is repairing and updating already available content. ( perhaps this would be a good time to add player housing and a profession for building houses.) for example-

update silvermoon, eversong, ghostlands, exodar, azuremyst and bloodmyst isles, and add flying.

add animation to using staves, like how wizards use their staff to walk, like a walking stick.

fix exploits in and out of bgs.
-
fix model issues, such as nightborne not looking like nightborne is weird
-
fix clipping eyebrows/ears/etc.
-
fix short race weapons being too big and clipping into the floor
-
add more accessibility for handicap, such as voice activation, eye movement headset access, safe particle fx for epileptics/etc cause apparently some folks are still getting headaches from certain fx
-
fix line of sight exploits. you should not be able to kill mobs/players thru walls/hills/solid objects
-
properly provide home cities for allied and other races who never got a home, their own starting zones with fully fleshed out cities. worgen shouldnt have to live with nelfs. velfs shouldnt have to live with humans. etc.
feel free to add your own upgrades/repairs/additons.
edit: to resolve for lack of end game, perhaps have one of the structures you can build is a guild castle that has its own player created dungeons. so instead of the devs having to create content, we create our own
