Someone called feminine themes on male Blood elves “disgusting” and an insult to their identity as a transman.
You keep quoting me, and then tell me to move on? That works both ways hun. I pointed out that his wording was hateful and discriminative, (which it was.) and I will call out that behavior any time I see it. If you wish to move on, you can easily stop quoting me.
Customizations that represent real demographics, calling it a negative stereotype is insulting, and invalidating.
Except it’s pretty gross to call being a feminine guy “a stereotype” and even more gross to call it “disgusting” and telling Snowsong “you’re sick” for wanting jewlery fo them.
How is that out of context when he literally said that?
The person didn’t phrase the original post well, but I didn’t think it was unclear. I also don’t think some of the people piling on ever even saw the original post.
I was here, Snowsong has an accurate account of the situation, other people just have re written history of it. I think it can pass if people just recognize the jewelry isn’t bad because of perceived femininity, and quit insulting that demographic.
It still doesn’t equate to being okay to say femininity in males is disgusting.
I was responding to your response, it’s how these discussions work. I was suggesting that it maybe was time for you to move on since he cleared up any confusion with you.
I recommend taking a moment to breathe and cool down because you’re clearly not thinking straight at the moment.
Except that stereotype potray real people, so referring to it as a “negative” stereotype is insulting to anyone who enjoys those themes due to how it represents them. Especially when you go as far as to call it “disgusting” and an insult.
We all want more themes, and options, no one’s arguing that, but going out of your way to call themes and options that relate to real people is wrong on so many levels.
he said i was sick for wanting high heel customizations, not realizing that when i said all elves, i meant all female elves and it was just a joke to begin with, though i could see some guys wanting access to heels as well. then he erased it and clarified what he was feeling instead, which was definitely more understandable. i think the best solution is to just skip any suggestion of high heels to just avoid that particular issue, where various demographics are gonna be pleased/angered.
Yes, and my response was to his hatefully worded comment, which regardless of how he spins the narrative, was what he said. If you want to continue quoting me defending those words, I’ll gladly sit here and stand behind my own. If you want to move on, you’re more than welcome to.
I think this person included the information that they were a trans-person and they were told that they weren’t a real trans-person because they didn’t have a view that was a view a ‘trans’ person could have. Considering I don’t think that he was being interpreted as intended. They reacted poorly and everyone reacted poorly. Once people become reactive it’s its own problem.
I don;t think it’s really worth still pumping energy into.
Then it makes no sense to bring up how it makes you feel as a transgender man because this is not a real life group, it has no effect on who you are in real life. Let EVERYONE have the option to represent themselves in the game without referring to it as a negative stereotype that forces something on you.
eye shape nose shape face shape posture more height weight those need to be added, tattoos and give belf fems long elegant hair as the elves in lord of the rings have also give them black hair as well as giving male belves long beards and more beard options as a whole.
Are you reading what is being said to you? Cause I’m suggesting you move on because this whole ordeal has been grossly blown out of proportion and is achieving nothing in the end.
Well his comment is very contradictory to the views the LGBT community has on gender fluidity. How you can break gender norms, and fight for the right to potray yourself the way you feel comfortable, while telling others the way they dress and look effects you is bizarre concept for anyone in the trans community to express.
Agreed, people shouldn’t be telling others who gender they are, but it certainly wasn’t in an attempt to invalidate their gender identity, more so disbelief that anyone who perpetuate beliefs that work against the very community they belong to.
