We must pray… to the Light!

…or to the Void!

…or to money!

I hope night elves get more darker skin tones, we have like 2 or 3… :frowning: ( posting on an alt, because i can’t use my main anymore for some weird reason).

I’ll try. Thanks ^^

I think the difference there is that Paladin is a class revolving around that aesthetic while a shadow priest is a minor aesthetic of the priest as a whole.

You can’t limit void elves to just a spec of priest but you can limit void elves to a class even if it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.

Man I hope so. We really need them to add some more customization options soon…

But if you have seen the natural skin tones On void elves with the hair colours available, I don’t see a reason you’d use the normal skin tones unless you’re into that really bold e-girl look.

The only one I can see why is those warmer pink hair options and even then it’s visually jarring to look at.

They gave us half agency but what is available to it doesn’t really align well on either side.

I don’t want to get into my hairdressing qualification here but, most of these won’t work for the sole fact that the skin tone of the blood elves is not neutral or cool, they are warm. You are mixing a warm skin tone with a cool hair colour (purple and blue undertone is largely present in all hair colours). Granted some people can get away with it but those are really minor.

I honestly think they only gave us the skin tones for now simply because it was the most simple to do right there and then, same with eye colors. The rest has more work to do and they might make another pass on customizations in a future patch.

It’s not. A racial cosmetic change like people have suggested doesn’t remove Void aesthetics for people who want them. If the “High Elf” aesthetics become more popular thn that show’s they should have been the Elf race from the start instead of Void Elves. But no. The Void option would still be there for the people who want it.

your suggestion is to remove the void out of void elves. We already argued to death on the why’s and how’s that is wrong and should never be a thing. Not doing it again.

Cosmetically you can take it out of the void.
If anything we would probably get hair recolours, as opposed to blood elf hairs.

And as long as entropic embrace is a thing, it still is going to have the void component which acts exactly like how Alleria’s void form does.

You’re both attempting to demoralize people with the manner you’ve been conversating in this thread and others attempting to attribute me as a racist, which is also a very serious real world issue, gaslighting actually seems fairly accurate and you’re not really in a position to be White Knighting anything.

Nonetheless slander and character assassination work too to describe the conduct I’ve faced.

Technically it would be a call for High Elf Paladins, I’m fully aware of the current canon regarding the Light and the Void.

I’m also aware that Blizzard is currently attempting to bake Alliance High Elves into Void Elves for the time being, so that is what I am basing my argument off of.

Fixed that for you. My argument is completely feasible and they are fine to disagree with me and offer up a different opinion, such as;

Had you lead in with “I would rather not see Void Elves diluted by High Elves and would rather seem them implemented with a separate race with Half Elves” then I would have respected your stance on the matter and probably would have entertained the idea, instead you lead in with;

In which you immediately engaged me with trying to insult my intelligence, which is quite toxic and reads as trolling.

So if you aren’t liking the responses you’re getting, maybe try being more constructive with your arguements and try to show more respect if you disagree with someone.

Actually no, in your case I am stating your wrong, the reason why, the fact your ignoring everyone’s posts and your continuing mis-use of the term of gaslighting as your excuse not to accept ppl’s answers. I asked you not to miss use the term. Your still doing it, which is now showing disrespect to ppl that actually went through gas lighting.

I never stated your a racist.

Which I am not until you crossed a line with gas lighting which you still do not seem to understand it’s meaning.

Your requesting to remove the void out of void elves for your high elf paladins, which should not happen, if your going with sub race, your still choosing “void elves” so no, they won’t “technically” be high elves

They are not actually, they are allowing players to to closer to alleria, they are not true high elves.

I disagree, it is not

Ok, I would rather you stop trying to make VE into something it is not, HE.

Who shot the gun first on these forums…

Respect is earned, you have not earned it, all you shown is disrespect for everyone here

Munch munch.

Removing the Void would be literally removing any cosmetic option to have Void aesthetics. That’s not what’s being suggested.

other possible solution - if you select the lighter human skin colors for your velf, you are no longer velf, you’ve now entered helfness, and all your options will reflect the life and times of an alliance helf, to include hunters, warriors, paladins, priests, mages, monks and…and… i guess dks, and you will no longer have access to velf racials, velf hairstyles, warlocks, rogues or void spells. you’d also not have access to belf racials as they came about as a result of the whole episode with illidan.

so whats a couple good helf racials. :innocent:

p.s. alliance hairstyles/facial hair that arent shared with velfs or belfs, so they dont tread on belfs and velfs, stylistically.

edit: that would mean if you decided to go with the helf option, you’d have a very small amount of playable classes. no shaman, druid, demon hunter, warlock or rogue. possibly the only race in the game with such a limited set of options but thats the price of having 2 thematic race options. if you also want the lock or rogue option, you have to select one of the more voidy skin colors and re-enter voidness.

A. I’m not wrong, you disagree with my stance. Big difference.

B. You literally start in me by insulting my intelligence, and another person alluded I was a racist, which is where I used the term and you butted in and came for me for using said term, but you’re condoning dragging very real racial issues into the thread, which is also inappropriate.

And again if you have a problem with terms describing abusive behavior, maybe try not condoning/engaging in such behavior, and it likely won’t come up.

Your personal line, maybe. I used the term in response to someone else crossing a line. I also didn’t intend to offend anyone with the term, but you interjected(when you weren’t the one being spoken to) and attempted to make it a one sided incident for my alleged misuse of an innocuous term.

Like Thormus said, I suggested additions, not the subtraction of anything, there’s a big difference there as well.

Highly debatable. I will admit I made a snarky general statement, but you responded to me directly in a toxic manner. So as far as the conversation between us, you instigated this.

I’ve shown disrespect to those who have disrespected me perhaps, ie due respect, but there are a great many posters I share mutual respect with, so don’t presume to paint me as a provocateur when you know it isn’t true.

But all of that being said, I will extend the olive branch, just this once, and apologize for offending you as well as being sharp of tone when making my general statements, and invite you to either attempt meaningful discourse, sharing constructive ideas you may have for example, or end the conversation here and go our separate ways and I’ll avoid conversation entirely out of respect.

In any event though, I will not tolerate disrespect and will proceed accordingly.

I’m very sad that no race got something that was actually requested. Blizzard just went with the generic stuff. I know I’m never gonna have my golden jewelry and regal hairstyles for Night Elves but I’m always gonna remind blizzard that’s what I wanted. Highborne options for Night Elves.

I was actually able to make some rather satisfying High-Elf appearing Void Elf characters with the new skins + old hair:

Of course I’d like more color and style options (I really would like black hair for the first elf and white or blonde for the second one), but even with what we have right now, I think we can make characters with an acceptably High Elf look.

The main thing I keep coming back to as I play on the ptr is the two saturated blue/indigo hair colors just don’t fit for a High Elf imo, and the light purple is also questionable, but the wine red seems nice enough and the two greyish colors along with the two blue-greenish colors seem to work well enough for the time being.

Avoiding the tentacle hairstyles does limit your options, but unless you have a ton of Void Elf characters, there’s enough option to not repeat a style usage (6 for males and 4 for females not counting the bald option).

It’s probably only a matter of time till more colors and hairstyles are added though so I am not too worried.

My Void Elf is going to be an arcane mage. The pink/purple hairstyles are a-ok by me. Gonna match my new mog divinely.
