Originally I could see the Night Elves appearing as such, but in an elven since they are really just Wood Elves or Wild Elves.
Blood Elves / Void Elves are obviously High Elves or in a Faerun since Sun Elves and Moon Elves.
Nightborne I would also say fit the Moon Elves quite well since Void Elves are just a variant Sun Elf.
San’layn and the Faldorei fit Drow more than Night Elves atm. But neither really seem to fit it perfectly. Night Elves are pretty far from Drow.
OK I get where you’re coming from with the Fal’dorei, but how are San’layn at all Drow?
Vampires aren’t especially common among Drow any more than any other dnd race.
More the slavery and cruelty they show. Not so much the look.

Yeah, about hunans mate. Elves are not humans, traditionally they’ve been depicted as blonde and pasty as a result of their origins in Scandinavian folk lore.
Looking Scandinavian is normal for them. Does wow have to be normal? No and that’s what makes Warcraft such a unique fantasy setting. But it doesn’t mean that it’s in any way correct or necessary to accuse people of racism for saying that blonde hair is normal for elves.
I say it’s suspicious, warcraft is a unique universe with its own rules

Well this is awkward.
And until like a year ago those rules included the fact that elves were largely blonde and so pale they went see through if you rubbed grease on them.
Ion himself once described blood elves as “tall, majestic and blonde”.

None of the Void Elf hair colors are normal at all.
Normal is Black, Brown, Red, White, Grey, and yes, Blond.
The closest Void Elves have to a normal hair color is an unnatural dark grey in place of black.

well most people in this thread, as far as i know, love the various skin color options, including the darker ones. i plan on making my own version of a drow velf, with one of the darker human skin colors, the purple eyes, and i hope, blizz gives velfs white hair. i also plan on making a standard helf with lighter skin, lighter hair, and blue eyes. but in the absence of a blonde option for velfs, i’d be happy with white hair. and i want black hair for velfs, so i can make a morticia addams velf. hehe
