That happens with the Wildhammer as they are an option of the normal dwarf you can become a Wildhammer Warlock, mage and paladin
I never said they were. Changing paladins to be a fundamentally different class in the lore, however, is a retcon.
I mean your gaslighting me about kinda insinuates that you do especially since you cut off that part of your sentence. Fundamentally different is every paladin in the game besides human and dwarf. The only retcon Iād be a fan of is getting blood elf druids back. I was simply stating blizz could change their definition of paladin considering many of the enemies weāve fought are āpaladinsā but donāt use the light. But itās whatever you seem to have very strong feelings enough to get aggressive about it. So Iāll drop it.
Paladins shouldnāt just be Light-based is a retcon you are asking for. The rest of the sentence has nothing to do with it. I donāt think gaslighting means what you think it means.
Every current paladin is a Light-worshipping martial fighter.
Iām sorry you canāt have a lore discussion without resorting to āu mad tho lolā.
She isnāt exactly a Paladin though. Sure, sheās like a spin on a Paladin, but her abilities function entirely differently than a Paladin.
Somand stop being aggressive.
I donāt think so. As trolls donāt worship the light, tauren donāt worship the light, blood elves donāt worship the light, Iām not even sure dark irons worship the light. Martial, yes. Light worshippers, no.
Pretty sure you started the petty party pal.
They worship the sun, which produces light. Thatās a heck of a lot closer than the Void, which is the literal opposite.

Read her lore and design notes. Sheās a paladin of the fel of Gulādans new regime.
From the page you linked:
Designer note
The concept for this boss began with a simple idea: anti-paladin, or ādark vindicator.ā
Anti-Paladin, as in the opposite of a Paladin.
Rezan and Anāshe are both gods connected to the Light that trolls and tauren worship. Blood knights at least definitely do worship the Light.
They literally described her as the opposite of a paladin.
Thereās no reason the void elves couldnāt capture a void being or dark naaru and siphon its power the same way the blood elves did. They literally are just doing it 10 years earlier.
Tauren worshipping their deity which grants them the power to wield the light isnāt the same as worshipping the light like humans and dwarves.
Lol, sure, the Tauren worship the Sun, not the Light. The Blood elves feed themselves with the power of the sunwell and before that they sucked the life out of a Naaru, not then and not now were they worshipping the light. The trolls worship the Loa, not the light. You couldnāt be more wrong even if you wanted to.
You said one thing wrong, I corrected you and I explain why it means what it means today, you just threw a random fact that wasnāt important at all in the present discussion
And I have some bad news for you, the Tauren donāt worship the light
It doesnāt matter in the way they worship it. It all comes down to wielding the Light.
Sigh. Anti-Paladins are still paladins. The entire theme of paladin is pulled from D&D. Shes a paladin.
Donāt make me pull out my splatbooks.
But D&D has Anti-Paladins. Theyāre basically Death Knights.
So by your meaning the void elves could just capture a Naaru and wield its light and they are light worshipers.
Donāt try to twist my words. Iām saying that being the playable WoW class of Paladin is about wielding the Light, regardless of how you get there.
