Link Grobbulus to the mega-server and allow us to join those guilds / raiding groups. The only people who would be allowed to WPVP would be folks with the Grobbulus tag and character transfers to Grobb (to join in PVP) would be free.
This would fix all the concerns the Grobb raid community is dealing with without transferring anyone out of the PVP scene. And new PVP players could join without leaving their raiding guilds. If anything, it could only improve PVP.
Someone will probably jump in here that the technology isn’t there, but if you do, I’d be interested in the why.

I would rather get transfers or have the ability to transfer to the connected realms, no reason to destroy the last PvP server.

This attitude is why all you’ll get is silence. As long as you let Blizzard pretend WPvP is worth preserving, they’ll shield behind it to let Grobbulus rot.

Can you elaborate how my solution would make things worse for you? If they allow people to transfer off, there will be nothing left of the population. If they connect us as I described but let people with the grobb tag still pvp then the population is preserved. It would also give people an incentive to come here.

At this point I just want to be able to play my alts. Something needs to be done about the health of grobbulus’ raiding community BEFORE ToT launches.

I mean the solution is pretty simple.. you just let Grob have the exact same opportunity the whole rest of the WOW population had.. probably should extend it to OCE realms too.. anyone that sat around in some zoom meeting thinking.. lets do this wonderful thing.. but exclude a few servers for no reason.. that’s a great idea.. probably need a performance assessment.

Might as well just implement Warmode. That way Grobb and Pagle can be connected for groups and guilds, and players can still WPVP when they want to.

Grobb isn’t working, they’ve gone from 4215 raiders to 2289 raiders in 8 weeks, that’s a loss of nearly 50% in 2 months while having free transfers to the realm, its time they were either connected to Pagle or given free transfers there

My guild is taking a break until ToT. Maybe other guilds are doing the same thing? We didn’t have too many upgrades left doing normal mode, weren’t doing heroic, and were frankly tired of those raids.
50% is a pretty steep set of stairs to claim for “taking a break” talk. Sure, when TOT comes out will things recover a bit.. you will play the victory music like you did in this failure of a merger.. and then 1-2 months after that the total collapse will occur again.

It’s been 4 months. Everyone has gotten all the gear they’re going to get and done all the progression they’re going to do.
Idk.. I see the raid data on Grobbulus.. looks like a whole lotta guilds can still progress. Lets entertain it though. Why would they not be progressing if they did decide to just quit. This boss is to hard? People want to.. idk.. enjoy the weather.. well.. in TOT the bosses are going to be harder. The weather will still be there. Plus remember this is suppose to be the glorious WPVP server that is endless entertainment. If those numbers have swelled in replacement of the raid numbers.. weeeell… I am not seeing or feeling it?
Yeah if you opt to stop at normals that’s going to be the case. But normals were just meant to be a precursor to the actual fights and are meant to be cleared week 1. You were meant to spend this time progressing through heroics.
To be clear, totally cool that that is what felt right for your guild but you can’t say there was nothing to do when tons of content has been sitting in front of you this whole time.

Only a handful of guilds on Grobbulus are doing heroics. If you’re not in one of those guilds, then you’re just waiting for the next tier at this point.
Which highlights exactly why it needs to be merged over or transfers to be opened. Its so few right.. whats the loss if they go.. unless of course under the defense of the realm one knows really.. once that door opens the reality of not a lot of people wanting to be here will go flooding away. That’s the only reason someone wouldn’t want the free transfer. They know the truth. The full scope of the reality. That most would rather be there than here.

Connecting Grob to Pagle won’t fix anything because MoP is dead across all realms.

They should just offer transfers to raden or the other connected servers and end the pvp servers and if they move on to WoD introduce warmode early.

I would not trust current Blizz to code the only Grob people can WPVP thing. Sorry but if Grob gets connected you lose the PVP server tag
