Might not be such a bad process then. Depending on how my luck goes with getting hero pieces I’ll eventually end up spending less Runed in the weeks to come, could also upgrade my champion to 619 but I’m trying to avoid that.
And this is where accountability will come in.
Players will either agree with you (accountable).
Or will swarm you with “it’s not that simple,” and then excuse-dump reasons why they can’t/why it’s too hard, even though thousands of people clear 9’s and higher exclusively pugging.
The only specific reason to avoid upgrading champion is if you want to save the 45~ crests per item getting that slot from your vault first.
Most of your items are going to end at 619 anyway because gilded crests are better used for crafting 636s than upgrading stuff to 626. Exception being trinkets and tier.
I am trying to avoid that on my champion gear as well. I am upgrading my hero gear and just waiting for the other drop or craft some.
Why do you need higher level gear than the content youre doing? Hell if you need higher than 580 to do ipen world content youre bad at the game. You only need 620+ if youre doing 10s or mythic raiding…
Yeah, imagine people not having a gear advantage from playing 40 hours a week.
The gear tracks overlap in ilvl and if you upgrade the Champion gear, you can upgrade the Hero track without Crests to the same ilvl.
In War Within more so than ever better gear is important to non mythic/heroic raid players because of Delves. That there is an endgame pillar where gear is very important.
Also soloing old content if one cares about that.

Your rewards are and should be proportional to your effort.
This argument never holds weight.
If you both want to have the gear requiring this amount of of effort, but do not have the time to do so, you have two options.
Lower your expectations or play a different genre. People who don’t work for it aren’t entitled to end-game gear.
I think I just reached 607-608 sometime ago, I am not looking forward to pushing gilded crests soon…
if they need progression then they need to progress their skill level plain and simple this isnt world of participation trophys and nor should it be
I did not know this. Thank you!
Imma keep it a buck, if youre hard locked at 619 and crying about it, you have two options.
- Roll another character and do it again because nobody cares.
- Quit the game because nobody cares.
- (Secret Choice) keep playing the same character and complaining because you no lifed for a month rather than pace content and really enjoy the expansion.
Unless youre competing for worlds first, theres no reason to rush content the way you have, get over yourself.
I believe I’m a D with some C and B. I used to be an A when I was younger but definitely not in that category anymore. Most complaints I have can be valid but that’s probably because I’m in the 1% (made-up statistic) of players that have health issues that prevent them from playing normally. Hence, I won’t go into Group B’s area to ruin their fun but learn to the best of my abilities to play each class and take responsibility for my inability to perform at the best.

The rare based take on the WoW forums.
People aren’t entitled to gear, open and shut.
yes thats the problem everyone thinks their entitled to everything

Disabilities are a completely separate nuance that I fully appreciate. I am sorry for whatever it is you had to endure in that regard, you have my complete sympathy.
And as you hinted at, the bottom line really just comes down to entitlement. No one is entitled to any level of gear or content.
The effort must be put in, and if it is, the rewards will be appropriate.
I am disappointed at the lock as well.
Delves drop the gear those people need to complete higher level delves ya silly.

I don’t want the gear. I think that gameplay loop sucks. I just want to play infinitely scaling dungeons. Preferably the rewards would be cosmetic, achievement etc. The gearing system isn’t fun at all.
Just played with some bloke on his 32nd grim batol. This is a degenerate game play loop. Would prefer set gear or purchaseble gear.
