Do heroic raids and M+ where the gear is needed and the crests drop. If youre doing anything less, 619 is more than adequate for the content.

You can just raid log Heroic raid. You do need really good gear for the last few bosses in Heroic raid, despite what hypocrites will tell you about “needing gear”.
If you kill stuff in the open world at all, then you need Mythic track gear. Everyone values their own personal time and Mythic level gear reduces kill times the most. Period, end of story.

A player just using their numbers. IF youre not AOTC into Mythic or high keys, well its like being proud your car can do 0-60 in 4 seconds while you are stuck in freeway traffic.

Seems like an elitist point of view.
Idk what percent of the player base I am in, but I have historically been 3500, and last season I was clearing 26’s or 27s, definitely capable of clearing the next key lvl up if I had the time and if it didnt take an hour to form a group… And I find the climb over 7 to be so “grindy” that its just not worth it under the current circumstances…

Technically, once someone gets to at least 619 in every slot they’ll be able to start converting up to gilded crests and won’t be ‘locked’ there anymore.
But aside from that, I’ll be pretty happy if/when I get to 619. Should be plenty enough for me; hopefully enough to let my mediocre ability get past ?? Zekvir.

Never said that. If you can get higher, go for it. If you need it, push for it. The average player though? ITs nothing to be upset with at all.

“Average” players will just pick 616 items out of their vault and be 616 ilvl.
Meanwhile, I have yet to pick a 616 because my other choices have been tier or BiS.
Vault 1 was the raid weapon, vault 2 was tier, vault 3 was BiS raid trinket.
Champion track Mad Queen’s Mandate is gonna be better than a random 616 bracer.
