Congrats on Hard lock at 619!

I really enjoy Delves but I do wish at Tier 9+ more crest drop per run.

Correct but my point is that saying “if you don’t do M+/Heroic raiding you don’t need more gear” is just not true. Delve players also try to max their vault and find more shots at better gear!

Badges would have fixed this issue of people rerunning the same ol dungeons. Chasing those items can burn out a player base.

Yeah, the way to think of it is crests are for upgrading the slot as well as the item. Upgrading a pair of shoulders from 616 to 619 for example (Or crafting a pair of 619 shoulders) means all hero and champion track shoulders you loot from then on don’t cost crests to upgrade to 619.

This means it’s not really possible to “waste” crests. The only way you can do this is by looting an item at a higher or equal ilvl again, after you already invested into it

You are right we don’t need anything over 619…

Basically once we hit 619 we should cancel our sub… I bet if we all did that you wouldn’t have to much to do.

Instead of acting like a brain dead sloth it might be more beneficial for you to realize that we all want to be on the gear treadmill, and if we aren’t able to have something to chase then what’s the point.

Yeah it honestly feelsbad and I’m definitely burned out on trying to get optimal gear.

It’s barely out of the first month.

Thank you, this helps me not feel like I am wasting crest. All the more reason to use them if you got them.

How to tell people you are a Blizzard employee without actually saying it.

Why do you care how people play and get rewards? Its not 0 sum.

Lets say 7 or 8s dropped gilded crest. And people wanted to farm them to get over the difficulty hump.

Why do you care? Why does it bother you if people want to farm a bit to get more power?

Or, hear me out, the hardest content should reward the highest gear? 9’s are more than accessible before 619.

I don’t want to be on the gear treadmill and none of my friends want to either. I’ll take gear loadouts or pvp style currecy system anyday. I want to play and have fun doing challenging content not grind out a bunch of m+ 4s as fast as possible for crests before moving into content that is fun and doing higher keys.

Keystone Level End of Dungeon Initial Upgrade Level Great Vault Initial Upgrade Level
2 597 Champion 1/8 606 Champion 4/8
3 597 Champion 1/8 610 Hero 1/6
4 600 Champion 2/8 610 Hero 1/6
5 603 Champion 3/8 613 Hero 2/6
6 606 Champion 4/8 613 Hero 2/6
7 610 Hero 1/6 616 Hero 3/6
8 610 Hero 1/6 619 Hero 4/6
9 613 Hero 2/6 619 Hero 4/6
10 613 Hero 2/6 623 Myth 1/6

So Delve cap at Hero 4/6 ? Other than being annoying to sit at 4/6 I think that is a great item level.

You and your friends do or you wouldn’t be part of this conversation.

Why do you care? What is wrong with people wanting to farm easier content for rewards?

They are still playing, still putting time in, still paying the same sub.

Why do you care how people get upgrades and have fun?

It’s just might not nor will ever be the game for you then.

The gameplay/gearing loop has more or less been the exactly same since the game launched.

Harder content=better gear that lets you do harder content.

You might love GW2. Gear is normalized from what I’ve heard and there’s zero gear treadmill.

People angry stuck at 619…me happy that I have five characters above 570 now wooooot

This is why I loved Mists of Pandaria re-mix. The gear was upgraded by currency. You got currency to upgrade your gear regardless of as long as you did content. You kitted your gear out to the secondary stats you wanted by the gems you collected.

Was no adventure, champion, explorer, mythic or veteran labels on gear along with no 1/6 or 1/8. As you spent the currency your item level increased, and the stats would increase along with it. So much saved development time if they just followed that going forward.

Yeah, the only thing I’d suggest is working out which slots you plan to use the free enchanted crests from rep / campaign on and not upgrading those. Because you’ll be using a 619 crafted item on that slot anyway.

No we don’t. It’s a chore required to play m+. Same as getting food and flask and enchants. Chores to be done to play the content you actually want to play.
