Just this. I don’t really care for what i have to do for Pathfinder … the main thing bothering me is the major Timegating as to when they allow us in their mercy to finally complete it and let us fly.
The good thing at Pathfinder is … every of my Alts has it as soon as he/she enters the zone.
It’s really godlike to be able to mount up and Fly right away once you hit level 90 and arrived in Draenor.
That stupid Timegating is pissing me off, to the point that if i still bother with the next Expansion i literally wait out the first year so i can do that thing in one run.
I feel you. Though i have allot more time to actually play the game i not log on because i want to … i log on because there is stuff i have to do.
It would be alot better if World Quests and Emissaries would stack up to 5 days or so … so if you not have time/want to play every day … you not feel like you are left behind.
This is what made Vanilla(and BC/WotLK) so good … there was Weekly stuff to do … not Daily. You could get by with only logging in the two or three times a week for the 3-4 hours your Raid would run … past that you would either farm necessary Materials yourself or buy it with the gold you earned in Raids.
Yes … you actually got enough gold in a Raid that it would cover your Repair costs and Flasks/Enchants.
at this point its basically become useless to even say anything I mean we could talk until were blue in the face and Blizzard will go meh big deal
theyre so wrapped up in their own overinflated ego to notice that they are the problem NOT the players and of course no amount of discussion will tell them otherwise they’ll merely pretend all is well even as the company stocks collapse around them at which point theyd just say well players don’t care about WoW anymore so go ahead and shut it down once again putting the blame for failure on our shoulders rather than admit it was their fault and mismanagement that causes these kind of problems
people talk about the WoW killer being the next MMO on the market and theyre wrong as the old saying goes you are your worst enemy and a little more each day Blizzard is making that statement become more of a possibility
I dont think you get the point.
People are much more willing to speak out and put up a thing when they dislike something, then when they like something.
You are much more likely to go yelp and write a review of a restaurant when it has bad food, then when it has good food.
I mean there’s truth to this but I don’t recall this level of outrage from when I played from Wrath - MoP. Were people complaining? Sure. But the levels of how people have lashed out is far worse than ever. And it’s like Bellular said in one of his videos. It just feels like Blizzard sees us as the enemy. And most of the feedback just goes in the wayside.
Oh yeah people complained a ton back then. Wow Crendor has a very good video on it.
He uses the way back machine to see the forums back in i think vanilla and its hilarious, you can do it yourself for good examples
It just feels more volatile then before. But this has been due to a lot of building up from ignored feedback and lies. Could be wrong though. Also thanks for the link!
The internet and world has changed though, toxicity and people being pricks has just gone up. especially with how easy it is for people to be ill informed these days. like with the recent mounts on the store, people assume they are just new mounts gouging people out of money, but chose to ignore its part of a 100$ limited time package that blizz alos put on the store for those who didnt want to drop 100$ on a collection or unable to buy since its limited time/amounts.
Toxicity for sure has gone up but Blizzards moves haven’t been helping anything either. And if you remember, I’m not a fan of store mounts at all. I find it pretty sad watching their moves this expansion. Store mounts included. I feel pretty well informed on the subject matter and disagree with the notion of a store even existing.
It’s not relevant because Pathfinder was just a spiteful compromise because the entire playerbase understandably flipped out that flying was being removed from the game.
It took a week and a half to get flying and halfheartedly grinding to get revered with BFA reps for flying once 8.2 dropped(skipped naz content for days to farm rares in mech on alts for days).
It took WEEKS of quests, getting chests, finishing the long questline objectives for the broken shore, etc to get flying for Legion. This is also including the MONTHS it took to grind nightfallen rep, and its questline that was time gated every week or two, unless you went back long after the fact to do it.
Nothing you said makes sense, outside of there being a total of 1 more rep, including having contracts that made getting harder to grind reps easier. The content gets extremely easy after 120 and about 385 ilevel (heroic dungeon content/ catch up mechanic ilevel right now).
It just boils down to you don’t like the content so it feels worse. Objectively it’s way easier to get this round of flying that any of the previous WoD or Legion. Pathfinder flying for WoD was weeks of grinding and questing in Tanaan after doing all the content in WoD, with no easy rep items aside from maybe getting a rare drop from a rare boss everyone killed because those 4 dropped a mount too.
Pathfinder these days is just a reward for playing the game doing normal stuff aside from raiding and m+
It isn’t one. With the repeatable pet battles giving 3k rep, lots of quests, rares giving rep for first kill, etc. It is one of the quickest grinds we have had for flying since pathfinder was implimented
Carful what you ask for, this to Blizz means “Ok fine, flying for 5 million at max level” then they can say they listen to players while at the same time making it a horrendous time sink or token scheme
Just for the record, I am not a pathfinder fan, it at the very least (part1 and part2) should have been available, day 1 launch of BFA
95% of the issue with pathfinder would stop if they merely got rid of P2 all together and just had flight give us full access for the entire expansion once we hit P1
Well I agree only having P1 as a requirement would be an improvement on the current system and something you can work on actually achieving when you buy/install the expansion all together… currently, the whole thing is greatly made worse by the fact there is an insaine amount of time between P1 and when P2 is even available to work on, 10+ months this time?
Actually they could have wrapped all of P1 and P2 requirements under just a Pathfinder title, of course all of the content available to play today would need to be (should have) launched on day 1 of BFA release.
