I understand that the xp on crowd don’t like twinks because they are getting roflstomped. But as I see it, you’re just passing through. So why make a fuss.
My question is for the xp off people. Are you in favor of or against the separate queue? I feel like I’m getting mixed signals.
Disclosure: I don’t twink so I don’t have an opinion. I’m just curious.
To me - I have no issue going solely against other XPoff toons, the issue i have is how this change has changed the Q times - we spent yesterday testing out the brackets we run locked 19-29-39-49-79 and only got pops in 19 an 29 . We sat in a Q on the 49 bracket for over 2 hrs whereas the week when mixed we would get a pop usually waiting no more than 20 -25 mins
After spending so many hours farming dungeons for 3% drops, I now have to wait in a line that I can not see the front of to play. That is to say I have been in queue for over an hour the last two nights, and have not played in a single game.
For those who put in the extra effort to spend their time grinding endgame content for bis gear, would you feel any different if your queues were separated by ilvl and you couldn’t play the one part of the game you still enjoy?
It only takes 10 per side to make a bg yet they don’t pop which must mean there ain’t that many of you twink types.
But hold on
If there ain’t that many of you, how could you be such a problem that something must be done to separate you from the rest of the community?
I guess if I participated in either leveling through bgs or twinking I’d care enough to put up with the headache of figuring that out. Good luck to you all though, sucks they snuck that change in like that without telling anyone ahead of time.
Well any bracket swarming with them wouldn’t have a problem with the separation then and the ones without many were not that populated for them to matter. I guess Blizz couldn’t be bothered to look at how many were xp off and determine bracket by bracket where separate queues belonged.
Yea they definitely took the easy cheap route. Also, it didn’t fix Bgs. Anyone who says it did, I’m calling them out. Still just as many landslide wins/losses.
I leveled my human hunter strictly through bgs and once I hit max never stepped back in one. They were such a clustered duck then, not the least bit curious to find out how they are now. I don’t even step into one leveling one of my maxed toons from Legion to 120.
I’ve enjoyed it far more than playing my 120, gonna be honest. Just hit 86 on Druid, strictly through Bgs. Wasn’t bad with twinks, but I like the cluster it causes like you say. But now without them they are still the same clustered mess. The problem wasn’t twinks.
Against. I don’t officially “twink”, but I do have toons with xp-off trying to finish PvE content and achieves at level - that includes some BG content from past expansions, including reps. Sometimes i just like to enter a BG to break up the monotonous, nerfed to stupidity old content questing, for something resembling a challenge.
This change not only exponentially increases my queue times, but puts me in with players who’s primary reason for locking their xp is for PvP. They are primarily PvP players. This makes randoms pretty casual unfriendly for me.
I’ve only been around for a bit over a year, so all the content in the game is new to me - and I want to experience it without it being a 1-shot joke. This change further discourages me from doing that.
Yeah, I know I’m in the minority. It just pisses me off they keep making changes that discourage playing anything but the most current content at max level. its like they have to find ways to get people to level into it. I wouldn’t be surprised if they got rid of xp-off soon as well.
100% THIS! I did BG’s in the 70’s bracket, and the games were 100% lopsided, and not a single “twink” in sight.
I jumped to the 30’s bracket (might as well level this panda now), and the games were an absolute blow out for horde beating us in to the dirt repeatedly.
Jumped to the 40’s bracket, same thing happened.
Twinks were NOT the problem, unbalanced classes, undergeared players, and overtuned classes are the problem.
I examined my entire team, we had a rogue wearing FOUR pieces of gear total, and guess what? They died to a MM hunter wearing enchanted heirlooms. Shocking.
I hate it. It was fine like it was, and pure hyperbole that twinks were destroying everyone.
I thought that there were enough twinks to sustain each bracket, but there simply isn’t =/
