Normal people would read the title and think “ok cool” but holy hell this entire thing blew up for no reason.

The thing about Quadirin is if you talk to him later on, you will find out that he is actually from another world that worships Elune. That also means that he isn’t a Night Elf, but some other race that isn’t from Azeroth. Blizzard gave him the stag form because it wouldn’t be worth it to make an entirely new model for one fairly minor character.
But most people probably don’t know that because the story wants to make it very clear that he is gay. That detail is given far more attention that the much more interesting detail that Elune is known and worshipped on multiple planets.

You are twisting the truth to suit your agenda. Kind of like when people conflate GID and intersex to prove that somehow bodies can be incongruent with brain sex.
characters are canon just not any story specific to hots like how ppl play ignorant as if blizzard would give them the okay with the dialogue if it wasn’t true to the characters identity

Old lore - Chromie was a female dragon with previously thought to be male name.
New, revisionist, dishonest lore - Chromie is a male dragon but takes female form.

Hearthstone has a nonbinary character, if its ever added to WoW must not be cannon. Anduins mom was trans, never seen her in the WoW so must be canon. tortollan came from hearthstone and not WoW first so they are not really cannon in lore either
