The tears of whales are the most delicious tears of them all.
That flying response seems very reminiscent of what we were told before WoD launched.
An ambiguous answer open to interpretation with plenty of room for them to pivot in either direction.
You are using my post out of context, I dont have a war on flying.
Wait til beta
wait til it goes live guys
wait til .1 guys
wait tillâŠ
yeah get out of here with that schill garbage
good faith died long ago
im cool with that.
this is why Iâm hesitant to be happy about this new expac. If itâs to good to be true, it probably is.
doesnt that just suck?
instead of seeing a new expansion and being able to be entirely happy about it, theres always got to be this nagging feeling inside âŠ'whats he going to do this time to screw it up" lol.
Married to that crap for 15 years. I served my time, lol. Iâll play old content or ESO till flight is enabled in DFâŠand if its end of expansion I guess i wont have to waste the money. Iâll just wait it out.
I am going to have a such a meltdown. i am so triggered I canât even right now.
well, guess itâs time to give it an honest try and see things as the devs do and see how much I enjoy it. Like a mature human being.
And thatâs the problem with consumer culture: carelessly throwing money at half-baked ideas.
I believe they should have had mount families like pet families. Different types could do different things.
100% the more movement options available the more engaging exploration is. Mario 64 isnât the bedrock of 3d movement for no reason. Spider-Man 2 is also a game that is propped up by its traversal mechanics. I welcome our Dragon overlords.
bad xpac will be bad
I want to be optimistic. But itâs not how Iâm wired, and they have been so disappointing as a Dev team lately.
Thats a load, legion would have never succeeded if it didnt take risks, now they are taking one of the most requested features and putting it on the forefront.
Really dont see the negative to this except at the perceived misgiving of ppl not being able to use their current mounts.
honestly Iâve been seriously contemplating doing the same. Will my will hold out? hard to say lol but the thought has definitely crossed my mind.
And thatâs the problem with consumer culture: carelessly throwing money at half-baked ideas.
the problem with the entitled culture is that flying has no gameplay impact and yet we pretend this is the end of the world. As if our $15 makes us shareholders or developers or management for a billion dollar company.
They never should have relented. They should have finished WoD though.

Press 2 to Hang on Tight!
Press 3 to give the Dragon a treat
I fully expect this and more. I remember unlocking the cloud serpents and raising the little fellow⊠and expect this to include 100 times more grind (or more).
âYou dragon wants treats and refused to fly until he gets them. They need to be farmed daily or purchased online in our new in game shop!â - Tinfoil Hat Moment
good faith died long ago
Good faith got tortured mercilessly, over many expansions, until it was left dying in a bloody heap on cold concrete, bleeding out.
Donât. I donât have anything else to add, just donât have a meltdown.
No. The original waterstrider debacle was during Legion development, when they announced that waterstrider mounts were no longer going to work outside the content they were earned in. A lot of people who had earned those mounts - not a small thing - were outraged at this gigantic nerf, which would mean things like their alts would have to swim from Durotar to Tanaris.
So they had to come up with a plan to remove waterwalking but allow players to buy it back on every alt. It took a while. And during that time we saw lots of âplayersâ like the one up above who was claiming that it hurt his eyes having to look at people using waterwalking mounts and they should be removed from the game. And look, he wants the game to shut down by removal of everybody who has ever collected a mount, so he can play wow as a single player game.
The alarmism is crazy. Theyâve already confirmed that dragonriding can move you faster than regular flight can when fully upgraded, so itâs like a flight whistle that improves over time and eventually gets situationally better than âregularâ flight and is even account-wide⊠how is this bad again?
War on flying? Holy cow these devs live rent free in some of your heads. It is not a malicious war on your feely-feels, it is a design decision so that people actually see the content for a while and not just zip over it.
People are still going to be zipping over it from the start, theyâre just going to be zipping using a different system, and potentially at faster speeds than were possible before.
just donât have a meltdown.
i feel a tantrum cominggggggggg.
