Confirmed by Devs: No flying until late in the expansion

Did you even read? From Wowhead:

"At launch, in the first or second zone, you’ll gain the trust of a Dragon companion and you’ll be able to call it in the Dragon Isles. It’s not too experienced in flying at the start and has limited Stamina, but as your Bond grows will allow you to loosen those restrictions. Long term, flying with your regular mounts is still the plan. It should feel good from the start, and should only get better from there.

How you’ll upgrade your Dragon is to be decided."

Specifically this part:

“Long term, flying with your regular mounts is still the plan.”

You know what they say about assuming…

Good, stay that way.

Now you can cross water on any mount. I disagree with the change. I really do. I am in favor of more mount abilities being added to the game. It’s not possible to make stuff like this because noclip flying will always trounce it in effectiveness.

Imagine a WoW that had the GW2 Spingers. God damn, that would be lit.

I get it, you’re the alt of that attack dog white knight poster who kept lying and claiming that 100% of all players were using waterwalking mounts at all time, and you were offended because it hurt your eyes to have to look at them.

what a tired response based on nothing except wanting to hear yourself try to sound clever.

this is why I’m hesitant to be happy about this new expac. If it’s to good to be true, it probably is.

I’m weary and wary of Blizz right now, especially with the lawyer in charge.

You’re so edgy, blocking anyone who calls you on your BS.

that isn’t what I got out of that - I didn’t hear end of the expansion at all.

But you said they did it for one quest in highmountain. Which came out in 2016. The waterstrider mount debacle was like… 2018 or 2019. …I thought.

What the heck are you talking about?

Maybe tell me why you skeptical for the next expansion?

Dragonriding is pathfinder ;confirmed :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Whatta bust this is shaping up to be

This is where it begins and ends.

Only if use the proper equipment. And I’m still not keen on them deleting that ability from the striders.

I believe they should have had mount families like pet families. Different types could do different things.

Well, judging by his lvl 57 character he didnt play this one either. So maybe he only cares about the level 60-67 experience and actually will never unlock DF flying?

lol…that ‘overpowered’ crap of his makes me laugh out loud.
overpowerd against what? each other? hardly…we ALL have the ability.
The ONLY thing its ‘overpowered’ at is allowing his lowbie gank victims a way to escape. That literally is the only context in this entire game where flight could be considered ‘overpowered’ between players (obviously from lazy design perspective one might throw around big words like ‘overpowered’ to keep from putting in the work required to design content around that mechanic lol)

Well this makes me feel much better. I’m ok with the dragon riding and if I’m terrible at it knowing I’ll eventually get regular riding will keep me going.

Plenty of us have been around long enough to have seen the train wrecks that Blizzard’s “creative spins” turn out to be.

I am going to have a such a meltdown. i am so triggered I can’t even right now.

well, guess it’s time to give it an honest try and see things as the devs do and see how much I enjoy it. Like a mature human being.
