Honestly, I’d like the sets to be the HD version of Grand Marshal/High Warlord plate.
With different color variations for different human kingdoms/orc clans.

I would like to see a more barbarian styled armor for the humans. As a call back to their tribal days in Arathi
this as heritage would be such an downgrade, i mean, this armor can you get through many other options compared to…heritage.
The only thing humans are missing are some Lordaeron heavy inspired armor. They might go towards that maybe… Orcs might get the furry mongol style helmet from the strategy game days.
I think a Furbolg vs Gnoll rivalry might be neat.
I came in late to it but it’s my understanding that it was the last bastion of coherent content release.
And as I understand it Legion basically told PvPers to take a hike so I’m very, very glad they just let us have our own thing again. My interest in Raiding is akin to a Raider’s interest in pushing rating and they can suck it up if they find PvPers trouncing them unfair. If that’s not a game mode you’re interested in you shouldn’t get an edge with it just because you’ve the most DKP.
Beyond that though it had an actually sensible story. You start getting your teeth kicked in by the Legion at the Broken Shore and end it at Argus. We had a big world full of cultures to learn about.
As just a map it sounds like the perfect thing to crib off of.
I mean… you are welcome to have this an opinion, but I am also free to say you are wrong. Which I am.
I doubt it be that armor EXACTLY as that is a basic NPC implementation but it should be a more elaborate version of it. It is the most iconic Kaldorei look, it is the first thing you ever saw one wearing when Vanilla booted up.
Why is revealing skin a bad thing, so long as both genders get that opportunity? It reflects the Kaldorei exceedingly well, as they were envisioned initially as this sort of wild savage moon worshipper elves. I also do not think they should anchor Kaldorei identity exclusively to Elune. That is an important facet of their culture but it isn’t all there is to them.
Edit: Ah. I nearly asked if you were wanting the night warrior Tyrande style armor. I would suppose you are looking forward to the silver warden armor then?
Because it is the core of their culture, and showing skin per se is not bad, the “sexy” (you know which word i want to use but i´m not allowed to use) armor is just a joke…and not to be taken seriously in the least, and therefore I reject it.
I once posted an alternative, which also shows skin, but is at least something more serious to take.
Men look even sillier in this armor, it doesn’t even look good…its a trolling armor, this is the reason we get other sets in the warfront and not…this armory…
or this? As alternative?

As far as orcs and human heritage goes:

Only if you’re a straight man looking at it and have issues with the male body.
I’m not a man. I like it. I don’t find it silly at all. It’s no less silly than what athletes wear IRL. Or how some of y’all dress your female alts.
I don’t dress my female characters like that, because I think armor is supposed to protect, not…not be there at all
And yes, I have a problem with Silly mog, and this armor belongs to that category.
And it’s not a mog for a athletic event like the olympics but is supposed to serve as a combat armor, so weird comparison with the athletes.
Heritage armor has never been about being combat armor, what are you even going on about?
Nightborne. Void elves. Highmountain Tauren. OG Tauren. Worgen. None of their armor sets “look like combat armor” or anything you’d wear in battle at all. They’re outfits meant to visually represent their heritage. Because that’s the whole point of heritage armor; to be outfits that fit the race and represent their heritage.
If you hate silly armor, you’re just playing the wrong game. 90% of the shoulder armor in the game would be an active hinderance to combat, ignoring the variety of armor sets that plain don’t work for battle. Like all the cloth armor.
but night elf are not represented by this “sexy” armor, mostly its trolling from some people here …or some kind of “Equality” in terms of political statements…its not about what fits the night elf as heritage.
Again, watch the Vanilla cinematic. Or any cinematic with night elves. Or the imagery used for night elves since the beginning.
this armor is used in ONE Cinema, the vanila cinema…its never reused again…and it was supposed to be a druid armory…who mostly fought in their catform…they have to be agil …its not about wearing in combat and by then is supposed to protect them…
If that’s your main complaint, well than, it’s pretty silly because than we’d have throw out pretty much every single suite of armor in game as they would all be useless in actual combat.
Most are either soo bulky you wouldn’t physically be able to move, let alone pick up a sword or soo thin as to be pointless other than to look cool
the imagery used for night elves since the beginning?
huh, this was this image

looks much better then…that kind of “armor”…
The same style is what we see the night elf archers wearing in the BfA cinematic.
The iconic image of a male and female night elf used across various medias when talking about night elves? Same style armor.
Nearly all official artwork of night elves have them dressed in pretty revealing clothing.
I’m sorry this offends you, but it’s their heritage.
Maybe just don’t play a night elf.
originally only on female Archer, A) and b)…it was never such an good idea in the first place for female either.
the issue is NOT that they show some kind of skin, but the issue is to push for this kind of armor…as HERITAGE armor…you know?
