Compilation blizzard lies - Alliance edition

Does “Anduin will attack UC for bad reasons” count as an Alliance lie?

yes, because they said he was gonna invade to prove himself, but in reality he invades because of justice

I am still puzzled what Sylvanas is talking about in that trailer.
“The price of sharing this world”

Like dude… you did this. You are why they are here.

The Humans bear responsibility for any actions done on behalf of the Alliance. That’s the price of being the ruling faction. The traitors of the Silver Covenant though are no less culpable for their actions despite that.

The Alliance has long made it clear that the price of sharing this world is the eventual eradication of the Horde. Sylvannas simply decided that the inevitable war should be fought on her terms instead of waiting for the Alliance to make it’s move.

And it’s Ms. Dude to you.

Gee I wish.
Otherwise the cinematic called “Crossroads” would have never happened.

somethimes i wish that the alliance is what some horde players here think.
but of course that can’t happen when we need a status quo to mantain.

also, i wanted to say that i updated the post with improved links! yay!

One Ship

A free willed undead from Lordearon who certainly wasn’t a member of the Alliance at the time.

Again a human from lordearon who is probably a random undead now. who was almost equally racist towards dwarves but atleast they didn’t side with the enemy. Also Kael’thas ended up being a traitor to his own people so its not like they care.

The Purging was preformed by Highelves. Can’t remember where Jaina said to kill every sunreaver in the city.

All hype, no substance, way to busy cashing in that lazy classic money

funny, now that you necroed i remember that i could add another one.

about gilnean getting heritage armor in 8.2.5

i wonder if i could add more after the spoilers are revealed or after blizzcon

EDIT:thinking more about it, it is not something related to the story so i guess that i leave out for now.

I’m glad this thread was necroed, it will be a nice source of reference from which we can officially call the writers out on their bull$hit after the war campaign is concluded.

Not that we couldn’t already do so, but with Blizzcon coming up, I wouldn’t be surprised if everyone in this years lore Q&A was questioning their logic behind all these blatant lies. Maybe even Metzen will show up again and ask wtf they’ve done to his story.

They sold this expansion as “Not everything is as it seems” and that everything would be nuanced and morally ambiguous, yet literally every major event to occur in this expansion is EXACTLY as it seems and is pitch black and powder white.

Was it already mentioned that they said Worgen would be the Alliance’s Forsaken, having their own agenda and demons and lacking the moral purity of the Draenei?

Because yeah, that was a lie.

Is that a lie, or a change of plans?

yep i think that it was a change of plans probably they realized that it was unfinished.

Better delayed and well done than rushed and broken.

My Alliance characters hate the Horde.

WHICH IS WHAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO DO… Both players should be hating the other faction, but not the players.

I have no animosity towards Horde players.

To put it simply. They promised the world and all they got was Alliance hating the story cause well…their entire story is about reacting to stuff, they got Horde hating the story cause they are being painted as mindless henchmen working for a mad woman.

Aaand there s the fact all characters and logic go trough the window whenever is convinient like all shamanistic races of the horde are ok with burning a world tree, raising people as forsaken in mass, sylvanas plaguing her own army and ordering attacks on civilians cause “the plot says so”

“There’s going to be a real self-examination of what the Alliance is about, and how they want to behave. Do they want to get revenge on the Horde, or do they want to build a better world? That’s a question they need to answer.”

God, this pisses me off.

There can’t be a better world as long as the evil horde is in it
