And since hunters/shaman don’t wear plate…they’d be regulated to leather?

I can’t stand leather sets. And there is already so much leather competition as it is. Mail sets are probably my favorite in game right now.

All this would do is merge leather and chain into medium. How would this be better?

I think that would cause problems with 6 Classes sharing Leather Armor.

So I would do this:

Cloth = Mystic Armor
Leather = Light Armor
Mail = Medium Armor
Plate = Heavy Armor

And I get that. But the mail-caster-kilt is just amazing. In my humble opinion. And I would be sad to see it go.

That the problem. I hate kilts/skirts. All the good mail sets are meant for ele/resto shaman

I agree with giving everyone same utility was a poor decision. I however don’t want dps to dip so low in between classes where people refuse to bring a certain dps for a highest (I recognize they still do this now but it’s not across the board)

Probably not, it will just have 3 sets per raid instead of the 4 we have now.

It’s a gameplay mechanic designed to force class diversity, OP. If it was all about ‘weight class’ and you wouldn’t have to worry about who can wear what, you’d be running into all-monk, all-druid, or all paladin raiding groups because they could use all the armor that drops.

Really it should just be assigned to a category based on what ever over powering secondary it was randomly created with.

They jumped the shark on having any traditional weight / movement / protection trade off a long time ago.

I miss when warriors could shoot bows and guns instead of punching with fists while having those equipped.
