you know thats a good thought. If they allow this train wreck, then what we could do would be to download the add on. We can see the people using it. Then blacklist everyone you see.

And there’s nothing hard about looking for a group in chat, most people care more about what they you know actually do in the group not treating WoW like a glorified AOL chat room.

I don’t get how you think that an add-on can “read chat”. E.g. a group is created for Deadmines. I , in the chat channel say “Who wants to kill VanCleef with me?”. What does the add-on do? Read my chat and interpret that as being invite me to the deamdmines group? I don’t think so.

Actually its more the other way around, with the new engine a lot of addons that were possible back then are not possible now.

What does a person do if they don’t know what VanCleef is? They ignore.

So the add on works exactly like a person reading chat would, this isn’t rocket science.

Well from the responses in here, you will have lots of people not using the addon to group with in said chat.

And why would you want to group with smelly addon users anyway.

Sure macros and automation are great. How about instead of an LFG tool we go a step further and since all these lazy clowns want the game to be easy and anti-social then how about when you enter a dungeon a giant “AUTO PLAY” symbol appears in the top of your screen and your entire party automatically does the dungeon for you and you collect the loot at the end. Then you automatically watch the game do quests for you. And it grinds for you while you’re asleep. Infact it turns out you aren’t actually playing the game at all. Your achievements mean nothing because you didn’t put any effort in.

That’s the beauty of vanilla. The hard grind and the countless hours it takes to get decent gear. Since it’s time consuming it feels like you actually accomplish something. Imagine level boosting to 120 then running LFR lmao

Correct, it doesn’t. A group is advertised in chat, you whisper the leader asking to join. Addon detects whisper, puts your name into their group finder frame with an option to invite.

The automation you fear does not exist.

Oh FFS… its magic. Its just alllll magic. And crushed up Gnomes.

Do you seriously think the add-on just randomly snags people from the /who list? HAHA

Indeed the hypocrisy is staggering “Looking for a group in chat is a super fun exciting thing and a core part of classic” “Noone wants to look for groups in chat and they’re all going to use the add on”

Pick one.

Exactly, and yet all the people who are not using the add-on are then ignored. Making it worse for them to find a group.

This is an issue. Without the add-on, everyone would be using the designated channels, to post and to respond…

Apparently yes, he does.

Imagine trying to talk in World chat when 2000 people are using this addon to spam their groups every 30 seconds

Tell me how it works intro programmer…Show me where it grabs people from chat.

you think people wont manually do the same thing?

It will separate the community and possibly destroy it if to many people use it.

Those same people would be spamming chat just as much without the add on, you know the same way you want them to.

It. Broadcasts. To. /4

Same as when 2000 people are forming 2000 groups manually and spamming their macros. Private server people really need to step into a high population server to see the endless stream of chat… its like none of you played on a server in Vanilla with constant queue times during raiding hours…

And if I create a group in /4 who responds if people are using the add-on?
