No, they wonât. Theyâre going to sit there until some button highlights that shows somebody has applied to their group. They will bypass chat altogether.
Hell, if youâre lucky clown the addon will auto-invite and form the group for your lazy ***
Ok say that is true, who is running the dungeon, or is the addon doing that too.
The add on plugs into chat channels so people not using it will see the same groups as people who are and will have just as much of an opportunity to join.

Actually most people in Vanilla/Pservers used âWorldâ chat. But you have no clue so I wouldnât expect you to know.

You did not talk about how your day was going for a while when heading to the dungeon or things that were going on in game. What you were hoping to drop or the quests you were going to do? Even fun BS chat about whatever during classic. Flights took a while and some early dungeons took some time to get to. Then discussing strategy inside the dungeons? You did not of that. That was a normal dungeon run for me.
And? That has nothing to do with what I said. The LFG channel was created mid-Vanilla to separate out the spam of group searches and made global. Geez youâre an insufferably toxic idiotâŚ
Yes, according to me and people with critical thinking skills that can see how titanforging has had a bigger impact on community than LFG or even dungeon finder.
WotLK dungeon finder had no harmful impact on my raiding guild.
It didnât hurt my Cata guild. LFR didnât hurt my cata guild.
I stopped raiding after cata, but it wasnât because of any particular tools, I was just sick of raiding. In modern WoW I wouldnât need to raid or even have a solid 5 man group to get to a decent gear level if I actually wanted to.
Tools to help you find players to play with in a multiplayer game would help community not hurt it if you actually needed to have a solid group to get somewhere you cared to get to.
The addon lists groups mentioned in chat in the list and advertises your group to chat. Yes, people with the addon will join the lookingforgroup channel also, because if youâre trying to form a pug you want to maximize your groups exposure.
Again, what about the addon is stopping that from happening?
How does it do that if I am not using the add-on?
Banning something outright because of what it hypothetically could one day maybe become is not reasonable. The guy making this addon has stated that heâs made it so that anyone who does not want to use the addon can still be invited to groups of anyone who does. Heâs said that it will NOT automate group matchmaking, and he specifically said it does and will NOT support restrictions by ilvl.
Being able to find people quickly does not make the actual dungeon easier. CC is still required, strategy still needs to be agreed upon, communication still needs to happen.
No one in their right mind would willingly choose to take randoms over people they know and trust. This is a tool that will help make groups from randoms and if you like the people you play with, you can add them as friends/invite them to your guild/join their guild and have another person to form a group with down the line.
There is no cross-realm grouping. Youâre still playing with just the people on your server and this simply makes finding people who want to do the content you do a little more convenient, but youâll still need to form real friendships and alliances if you wish to progress on relevant content consistently.

You know that in Blizzardâs offical WoW, custom chat channels have player limits, right? And again, I really donât think youâre all comprehending the sheer amount of spam that so many people looking for groups at the same exact time is going to cause. Youâre probably going to be downloading this addon when itâs impossible to keep up with the chat spam to find a group for WC on top of everyone else looking for other groups and the idiots who have spam because itâs a global channel.
How does the add-on match me to a group then? what if I say âwho wants to do Deadmines?â or VC lol
Yeah I play junky pservers but here you are frothing at the mouth of the classic experience being turned into some mish-mash between retail and vanilla because your version of the game is so stale right now you would agree with anything to pry yourself from the boredom and get a taste of something fresh.
Someone who is hoping straight from retail to classic wow DEFINITELY needs to avoid any LFG addon. Enjoy the experience without trying to escape to what you feel familiar/need to play the game with.
It spams the chat every min virtually forever. Automated spam. So even if we donât want the add on its forcing us to look at the spam.
