ClassicLFG

Yeah right. It’s going to end up becoming something ridiculous. You will just click names and sort by gear numbers or some stupid score that this addon will eventually calculate like raiderio or gearscore.

Then you say “okay head to entrance”
then you literally say nothing then dungeons over.

welcome to your retail experience in classic wow.

source???..

Don’t need an add-on for this either. the add-on is superfluous then. Ban it

What is going to stop someone from inspecting your gear and determining that your gear is not up to par and kicking you?

absence of counter evidence… yadda yadda .

wow this proof game is awesome. I wish there was an add-on to automate my responses.

If people want to gatekeep and be antisocial, they’re going to do it whether any addon exists or not.

As opposed to blacklisting idiots from specific guilds, or making sure to not invite people that may compete for my gear… /giggle

Yeah I did that in Vanilla sometimes, but usually not, too much downtime with mana, travel, and CC targets.

Every party needs a pooper that’s why they invited you…

Because of cross-realm.

Many people who have actually experienced all versions of the game would point out that the reason community isn’t as big of a thing in retail is because you don’t need other people much or even at all potentially if you’re lucky to get to a similar level of gear of at least heroic raiders.

You can fish for titanforges from solo content, automated grouping content (LFR/warfronts) or low level M+ groups that require minimal coordination and effort.

Titanforging and the boring gear design of modern WoW makes group content less relevant, even the more difficult 5 man content isn’t really needed to achieve anything, it’s just there if you feel like doing it.

It’s not the pre-made group finder or even dungeon finder that ruins community, it’s that the base design of progression is so bad that you don’t need a community to get to a decent baseline.

@devolore on Twitter. They can’t break this without breaking other things which would hurt Classic.

Prove that is the reason lol.

I think LFG type tools ruined the sense of community.

Can’t believe these lazy retail clowns want to splinter the community by using an LFG addon to find group members.

Say 60% of the population uses ClassicLFG.
Say 40% of the population doesn’t use ClassicLFG.

Those 60% are likely never going to group with that 40% because the 60% only group with people who use the same addon. They completely bypass LFG using in game chat.

The other 40% is stuck grouping with themselves. All finding each other in game chat.

You know what should happen? 100% of players should be grouping with the other 100% who are all using the in game chat.

DON’T SPLINTER THE POOL OF PLAYERS LFG. DON’T ALIENATE A PORTION OF THE PLAYERBASE.

Because:
LFM UBRS
I’ll go

Is very profound conversation, right?

That’s… not how any of this works. By default, the neutral position holds, which is that LFG was neither harmful nor beneficial to the community of WoW overall. Evidence would then be required to budge the needle in either direction.

Look, we get it, you’re anti-add-on, but Vanilla was not anti-add-on and neither will Classic.

According to you. LFG type tools is a step in the wrong direction imo.

Then the addon shouldn’t bother you.

Cross realm makes it so I can be a ninja looter and fear not being blacklisted cause I will never see those people again, on classic, I do the same thing and end up getting blacklisted and not being able to do dungeons.

Can’t believe that with hundreds of posts on this topic recently available you still fail to have even a basic understanding of the addon you’re commenting on.

It doesn’t. I’m on here defending the addon.

The channel is the public LFG channel which is global but you have to manually join it. The add-on posts to and draws from that channel. It can probably be set to custom channels as well… but those would obviously limit the pool like a guild would.

You’re just being ridiculous at this point.
