I never farmed it for 10 hours a day. But that was the expac where I tried mythic, found out I hate the key system and never did it again. I raided through that expac.
Not really, unless you are in a progression guild that is trying for world’s first. That was the only reason to need to stay on top. My pressing issue as someone that was in a normal/heroic guild was how long leggos took to drop. Every week our discussion was who got their legendary and most of us did not until later. Until I got lucky finally and got two in one week.
They did say Dragonflight is abandoning shadowlands mentality of design decisions and they are going back to legendary being on mobs and by mobs I mean boss and have story behind these items and not be complex to get.

Okay I wish I could agree with the world first statement but in good faith I can’t.
Literally my guild back then was the most omega casual CE guild ever - and we STILL had to push maw for the majority of the day. Same thing w/ island expeds. our spot on the bench was 100% based around our neck level
We didn’t push it for 10 hours and still ended up doing fine in Emerald Nightmare.
but you see the issue here? like it had to be done for some guilds - that’s the main issue. it wasn’t that great when you really think about legion
Also shadowlands legendaries is way to punishing to get for majority of the player base it’s system is too convoluted and way to many moving parts.
honestly im not disagreeing that the system wasn’t horrid, the system was fine.
i think the majority of the player base just doesn’t like being forced into doing dailies for a spot in an omega casual CE guild
If your guild was pressing you for that for Emerald Nightmare, I don’t know man. They were too harsh on you, it seems.
But that’s not saying that AK wasn’t a problem. It definitely was and was a hell of a grind despite that. Which is why they had to buff it, and add it to more sources. I wish they didn’t wait until end of expac to add the vendor. That was a huge mistake.
Hmmmm this is a you issue. Maybe people just don’t want to play with you
I completely agree, and they did the same thing w/ shadowlands right?
we are currently in one of the “best” seasons ever for m+ and it took them 4 seasons to get to this point. like no one wants to do boring mind numbling dailies.
torghast was released with a cap on soul ash, AND you had to do it.
Why didn’t they just release it for fun like we have now? It’s fun right now.
Dinar honestly is one of the best systems ever made for m+ players - and i know i’m just speaking for my boys but really it’s the best system we’ve seen in a while. but they released it in season 4 after we had to spend the last 3 seasons with like average gear
Yeah I don’t know if they’ll ever learn that lesson. Because even in BFA that was the whole taking out the PVP vendor thing. They like to stretch things out artificially now and it’s frustrating.
People say DF will be better, and I hope it’s true. I’m not gonna bet on it really. I feel like they’ll pull something out of their sleeve at the last second. That’s what happened with Azerite Gear.
Because they wanted to stop the degenerate people and those who wants to rush on gearing and stuff. But blizzard knew they couldn’t fight it for long and just open the flood gates and in Dragonflight they are going back to designing a game for every type of players. And not creating artificial barriers but there will be timegate since this is an mmo.
Classic isn’t killing anything. The only reason people play Classic is that Retail is killing itself
I say let it happen. Gearing isn’t even the end. The gearing is to be able to do harder content. So if people get geared early, then just make sure the content is there to run through.
There’s nothing about MMOs that means there needs to be timegates. Other than maybe raids. But that’s a logical one since those have always been added later. But story, progression, flying, reps, those don’t need the artifical timegates. People should be able to do them at their own pace. And if some race to the end, then they just did it to themselves.
How is it killing itself with what? It’s already the end of the expansion and also Dragonflight is looking good so far on beta ( I do have access to beta just FYI )
Flying in shadowlands…well atleast it wasn’t as bad as to say warlords , legion , and BFA pathfinder system.
Dragonflight seems to be discontinuing the old reputations and replacing it with renown system.
It was just as long before it was unlocked, because of the timegate, it was just as bad. It’s just the grind wasn’t felt because it was done through renown, through story. Instead of rep.
Dragonflight may suck, it may be the best expansion ever, no one has any clue yet since it’s not out. What we do know is that BFA and Shadowlands were awful and have decimated subscription numbers
ima be honest chief - these people would’ve already been in BiS anyway. no system is gonna stop them from being in the best possible gear for the week
week 2 or week 4 they’ll be in bis
this is some wild misconception between casuals and harcore players. regardless of what blizz puts in the game - the best players will 100% be in bis for th week. whether that’s pre-raid bis or just bis in general from dungeons
there’s no system stopping me from being in bis bro, like even if there’s a valor cap i’ll be in dungeon bis week 1 and nothing stops that
