A rogue can’t reset with FF and bleeds on them. And a NE druid specced correctly is always going to get the opener against an enemy rogue. In my vanilla experience, only had trouble with locks in wpvp, and even them I could run away from, stealth, and stalk with tracking. Druids just have all the tools needed for wpvp. And since no one thought we were good for much else in vanilla, it’s all we did at 60.
It never happened back in my day, but it’s happening now with the streamers on Faerlina…
Supposedly you can stack +frost resist or +shadow resist gear to shut down mage or warlock damage, and that’s not even including potions of resist or engineering reflectors
There are too many variables to see what classes are the best. Each class has utility that can be useful depending on the fights. I decided to play a shaman instead of a warrior to increase my chances of survival when fighting solo in the world but if my windfury and such doesn’t proc things can go bad very quickly.
I can’t tell, there’s to many layers to figure out where things are happening and no world defense to really clue me in to where people are like back in the day.
Whatever I play, I fully intend to make use of engineering, resist potions, and the freedom potion (can’t remember the name)… unless I’m a Druid , then I might not use as many of the freedom pots. Lol
I have put a lot of thought into a shaman, I’d love to play an orc enhance shaman! However, even with engineering , alchemy , all the resist and freedom potions… can anyone convince me that an enhance shaman would be better than a hunter in Wpvp , cause I can’t convince myself and I don’t think a hunter would even require all of that.
Ive already made a lvl 12 Druid with all this in mind, but I really only want to play 21/11/11 on it or whatever balance/bearcharge/insectswarm is that Stormx runs… but I’m worried I’m being mislead by montages and life won’t actually work out that way on a Druid haha
Unfortunately I’m horde, so Paladin isn’t an option lol
I somewhat agree with this, I’m just not sure that even with grenades and free action potions that my warrior is going to be amazing solo in world PvP lol… but I could be wrong… this is why I haven’t made an enhance shaman. I feel like even with all the gadgets and potions… a ranged class is gonna kill me
Well like u mentioned do what streamer Swifty is doing and get a gear swap macro and a set of green/blue +frost and +shadow resist set. As you ride up to engage mages and locks swap the gear with a button (before combat). They’ll think you just have bad gear and be baffled as to why their spells are doing 1/10th the damage
Also, pro player cdew made an enhancement shaman and he is talking about trying to win this duel tournament for a prize of $40,000. Although he will have either earthshaker or sulferas hammer soon so that be will def help
I always thought he was gonna to resto or elem with his sha but it appears he is doing enh
Yea I heard cdew’s guild has promised him sulferas.
Of course there are options like that but s class that’s good at world pvp will be far better with the options on top of their class right?
I’m just thinking a ranged would be a safer bet, locks while strong have no mobility to get away if they need to, so it’s win a gank or die. Priest might get a fear off, but hunters, Druids , and mages all can slip away if need be to live another day or reset the fight… I’d be utilizing a balance/resto/bear charge build if Druid though … stormx’s build lol…
if someone can convince me enhance could work well for the Wpvp intended purpose though…
All this does is make the duel a draw or allow you to beat up scrubs. This is vanilla where warriors get kited. Any decent caster will give you the /spit and run away. Even a lock can rocket boots and spam their 35 yard ranged instant cast snare.
Better pray nobody else is around either as wearing a full resist set gimps you toward all other classes.
In a game based around group content, asking what class/spec is the best on their own means nothing.
A balanced group consisting of an 2x Arms warrior’s, Resto shammy, Disc priest, Frost mage will beat any other group comp.
Its so powerful. that gear almost doesnt matter - meaning mc/ony/bwl/zq gear will compete with naxx geared players. A team of said players in naxx gear is unstopable.
Maybe so. Doesn’t make warriors a bad class. It’s just not retail where you have 500 gap closers and can stick to a frost mage like glue. A warrior is mediocre 1 on 1, but you have a chance. You’re also very good in bgs if played well, especially with heals.
There’s really nothing wrong with a ranged class being able to stay at range.
