You can go on YouTube and look up Monkeynews, stormx, and many others who have vanilla wow world pvp montages of every class and spec. Watching these can easily make you believe that the class you are playing is a powerhouse in Wpvp, and likes many others I have played classes after seeing these videos, but the vids don’t always paint a full picture of what all the other moments were like outside of the montage.
My question, what is the best class/spec for world PvP, solo play (don’t say healers with a warrior lol)…questing and at 60?
My experience on both my characters has been that the best one is the one who attacks first, preferably with a group of friends or while the target enemy is otherwise predisposed with mobs.
An AQ40 geared Boomy on the Alliance almost one shot my Rank 14 geared Warrior back in Vanilla while fully buffed and stacked to the teeth with the stam PvP gear provides.
With spell power stacked and trinket pops, those Starfires are nukes, and they’re no joke.
I definitely did not let a Boomy free-cast after that.
Shadow priests seem to be pretty tough to beat because they don’t have that many weak spots.
Auto healing through vampiric embrace, able to dispel nasty effects, reduced damage from physical damage thanks to inner fire and shadow form, silence to deal with pesky casters, mana burn to boot, occasional stuns from spamming rank 1 shadow word pain, instant fear on a 26 second cooldown, and facemelting to destroy mobility and auto track.
“the best class/spec for world PvP, solo play…questing and at 60” doesn’t exist
Different classes/specs will shine with different aspects of the game.
If there was a class that was “the best” at all that you mentioned, then everyone would play that class.
But with regards to WPvP, I’d have to say hunter or rogue. Rogues can pick their fights and catch players off gaurd. Hunters are great at kiting melee classes and can mana drain spell casters. Both rogues and hunters have their counters, but as a whole, I’d say they really excel at world PvP
