Thought we were talking about old videos.
There really isn’t one. Wpvp is situational and there’s too many variables. If it’s a duel then I think the multitude of tournaments has pretty much determined that a SL warlock is the heavyweight champ. Outside of that though, it’s really anybody’s chance depending on the situation. I’d say the real question is which class is the most fun in wpvp and that depends on the player!
In the world, you just look at who can handle variables better than most, but you need to provide context.
- You wont run away.
- You have cooldowns.
- You neither get the jump (rogue from stealth) or are being ganked while at low HP under a mob.
Locks, Mages, and Spriests, all need to be in the conversation.
i had fun pvping as a warlock in classic, they got a lot of tools.
im doing what you said not to do, but it’s tbc, so it’s ok.
in tbc, i pvped with a warrior with gorehowl and 2 dedicated healers → it was OP and i had a blast.

More than likely mages. Now I say that for one reason only. In every engagement they face they can simply sheep and run away, sheep and evocate, sheep and drink/eat to reset. Other classes cannot.
That being said every class has strengths and weaknesses, Spriest are very strong as well. However with current skill players going back mage is simply broken for pvp. The level of control is insane.
IMO Undead Mage if they know how to play their class. You can do 2v1 easy even sometimes 3v1.
Not exaclty. A warlock can circumvent a lot of that, especially a Demo Lock.
Felhunter can remove the first poly, trinket the next, and keep the mage in combat. Itll also have extreme magic resistance to cc from the mage. Its crazy their spell resistance with master demonologist. Not to mention it also spell locks.
All classes can be a killing machine, all classes will have a counter class.
It’s all how good you are, how experienced you are, how much you know the opposing class and what abilities they are going to use against you!
There is no 1 best wpvp class.
This, it is so variable even within the same class. A Warrior will probably chew up an Aff Lock, but wouldnt fair nearly as well against a SL one.
Specs and classes adds just a ton a variables into the mix.
Locks no doubt , they can kill you in one fear .OP as fuarkkkk
Let me add something because it seems this post got a lot of attention.
Any class can get the initiative and jump another class and win while they are fighting mobs or occupied.
What classes have the ability to turn the fight around, get away, survive or even win?
That’s what I’m interested in knowing.
The class that can’t be snared/rooted/polymorphed and and can run faster than everyone else while being able to heal.
Though while you can disengage from pretty much every fight you def can’t win some of them.
Druid.
I think it’s a HotW spec druid. Really only have an issue with locks. Stealth is the best Wpvp ability, and druids can crush rogues.
shadow priests,warlocks and rogues
Rogues will always be the best - they are the best class for picking fights. And resetting.
Thats what I keep thinking is Druid… like Stormx. But everyone here thinks they’re trash lol
They can choose not to fight one.
Through wow yes, but wasn’t that a different story in vanilla when rogues didn’t have cloak of shadows?..I dont remember rogues being much more than twinks.
World pvp isn’t about two players facing off in a perfectly even matchup with a bow before the fight. If that was the case then yes, a warlock or shadow priest would probably be on the top. In world pvp though, where getting attacked at any given time whether it be at an advantage or disadvantage is way different. Best world pvpers would go to rogues and druids. With the ability to pick and choose their fights you know damn well the majority of them will be in their favor, and if it isn’t, they will get away and come back when it is.
World pvp is so variable it’s really not too hard to be really strong regardless of class. Like if you’re R14 and come across some fresh or semi geared players you’re going to steamroll them, class typically irrelevant.
