Classic TBC will completely eliminate class population imbalances

Do not want TBC. TBC is not classic wow

im confused I thought they said over and over again that classic WoW wont get any of the expansions?

Which means they wonā€™t force Classic people to move to BC servers, that they will likely be separate servers. In an interview not long ago they were asked about BC, and they said something like it would be relatively easy for them to do because of most of the work is alrdy done for classic. That it would be up to the community if they would do BC. The community so far has been pretty siked about BC servers.

You clearly didnā€™t look at the data very hard. Check again how many of those players were 70. The data doesnā€™t have to convince you, itā€™s fact. Whether you accept it or not is up to you.

They actually never said this

Pally tanks become viable so thereā€™s that.

Because itā€™s a boring and tired paradigm. A terrible simplifying of the old DnD model.

Never played dnd, what makes their model so good?

Someone tanking in the front while casters and others do damage from the rear. Even Final Fantasy 1 had this mechanic.

Nobody wants to tank or heal because nobody has really made these roles fun for video games. They become a chore when turned into a video game.

Iā€™ll be honest, Iā€™d probably play on a classic TBC server. I HATE flying with a passion though.

My memory of raiding at the end of TBC was you wanted just one restro druid although maybe a feral could tank here or there, no paladins except to buff everyone at the Sunwell entrance then drop raid to go on their main, and every guild was trying to poach restro shamen who most likely sucked but were given raid spots because of totems and aoe heals.

In vanilla overall class balance might be better, although nowhere near perfect. Most classes are taken close to the 5 spots that would be average (40/8) excepting warriors getting near double representation at the expense of druids and hunters.

I mean, personal opinion, I think those ways are just as if not more boring. Itā€™s jsut that the others roles in those games feel the exact same way as tanking is.

Honestly, I think if they could have made tanking more reactive like actively parrying or dodging somehow it would have been a more popular role. Like Druids specializing in dodging and warriors in parrying and Paladins in blocking or something. Dps is way more fun in WoW because big numbers and stuff. Healing is fun because it actually feels like you are doing something when someone goes from 5% to full. Tankingā€¦ tanking jsut feels like youā€™re sitting there.

If anything, TBC will skewer the faction balance even more in horde favor. Everyone knows ahead of time that horde racials dominate this time around and will follow suit.

EMFH / Shadowmeld 2.0 are the only real compelling reasons to roll ally post-classic, and they arenā€™t a thing until WoTLK

why is this TBC in my classic ?

Itā€™s going to be a lot longer than 2 years.

The life span for classic goes far beyond the release of naxxramas. It goes to people are fully decked out in their tier 3 sets. Thatā€™s at least 3 years if not longer.

There really is no reason to release TBC 2 years from now. To maximize profits 3.5-5 is much more optimal. You canā€™t follow up on classic too quickly and expect a big response.

They also have to consider retail expansion cycle.

Most people playing classic will abandon it for TBC. So there is no way they release TBC until naxx has been out for at least 1-2 years.

I will quit WoW forever the day Classic becomes TBC.

Max out for 1-2 years?? My dude you are actually insane LOL.

Look, I love classic, I do. And I hope they keep classic vanilla up forever so I can come back to it. But thereā€™s no way they arenā€™t riding that gravy train while the torch is hot. The 1-2 years you are dreaming of will kill this community super fast, blizzard will capitalize on money maker as soon as they can.

Sure, server can survive that long there is no doubt. But the vast vast vast majority of players WILL fizzle out. Thereā€™s really no way around this.

Whatā€™s hilarious is that the data you presented does not show classes being balanced in TBC, but you post saying ā€œClassic TBC will completely eliminate class populatoin imbalancesā€

  1. Classic TBC =/= TBC

  2. Your data shows that TBC =/= balanced

You donā€™t even have data.

Iā€™ve got 20 years of MMORPG experience. Including extensive experience with 4 man, 5 man, and 6 man group content. Across 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th generational MMORPGs. Iā€™ve even played all of the MMOFPSā€™s if anyone cares to hear insight on those.

But if you want to try and disprove the Tank Paradox theory thatā€™s been observed across dozens of MMORPGs. Go right ahead and try.

Not my job to change your mind princess. This meme needs to diaf

Quick question, why would anyone farm Naxx for a full set once you have cleared it knowing that there is nothing to use the gear for?

I mean you look cool sitting in SW or Org in a full set and all butā€¦ there is no game reason to run Naxx 2,000 times in hopes of getting a full set other than it looks cool right?

I wold think many people would stop playing all together on their main once Naxx is cleared? Perhaps raid logging for a month or so but againā€¦ what is the point once you actually finish the raid for the first time?
