According to your logic, if Vrak didn’t deliver anything of importance, then it wasn’t that important that we be made aware of the reason behind why the downtime was happening, so why are you mad?
And me pointing out your ignorance of how Vrak proves his helpfulness a hundred times a day here in the CS forums and then further proves his helpfulness by delivering us a simplified TLDR of what todays maintenance was about isn’t riding anyone. Its me calling you ignorant.

I’m pumped for the 25th, it was hands down my fav. expansion.
You know, I work for a small software company with only 200 employees. When we do production maintenance we never take our servers down. We do updates on a separate lane and when everything is working, we just switch the lanes. Customers see no downtime. For the last 5+ years our production servers were up 99.9% of the time. To think about a giant company like Blizzard is having trouble doing an update and do not even using lanes? Beyond my comprehension.

A little bit of levity amidst so much negativity isn’t trolling - especially with going on nearly three hundred posts of mostly people unleashing on the one contact person here who has literally nothing to do with the downtime as an agent who moderates this forum. An update wasn’t posted too long ago.
Except it doesn’t, because no GMs, Devs, QA or anyone else comes to this forum. So you’re only breathing hot air to your fellow players and poor Vrak.
What so many of y’all don’t get is that Customer Support is a forum for players to assist other players. It isn’t Customer Service.
Yeah a not scheduled maintence on wednesday for 8 hours for a CLASSIC ERA thing. not even 500+ players on classic era btw. show sympathy tho of course.

You do realize Classic and TBC aren’t separate, right? There’s a reason they have the same names as each other, lol.
Try making a character on Classic with the same name as your toon. Or create a toon with a unique random name and then try to dupe it on the other.
Ain’t gonna work, because they’re the same server.
