I _think_Blizz reviewed the code for the LFG addon, and didn’t like it.
It may be that the code is not compatible with Classic or that, as one person said, the code tries to obtain more information then they allow…like personal information not normal to Activisions’ code of conduct. I hear they WILL allow it with heavy modifications. I don’t remember any LFG addons in classic and this may be someone trying to do funny stuff…IDK…Gatherer was /, is a well known addon that I’m sure they will still review.
Does LFG play the content for you???
Anyone who is boiling down social interaction to group building while ignoring the fact that LFG will create MORE social interactions than it removes; is being intellectually dishonest.
What a terribly flawed analogy…
Gatherer is broadcasting all of the looted locations to a chat channel
then gathering that information to store it.
LFG is broadcasting group invites to chat channels
then gathering information from chat channels to invite interested people…
I can do the same thing as LFG with an auto invite add-on and a spam macro.
Wrong it is the people who cry for changes that will now allow ActiBliz cover when they want to make more changes. YOU people are the ones that made Retail what it is today.
To be honest I do not care either way. I never intended to use the add on. I am just showing you your rank hypocrisy and cognitive dissonance.
LFG isn’t going away, the automation aspect is what is being broken.
The automation that was not really automatic. LFG is like a car with an automatic transmission. But people are treating it like a 100th generation self driving Tesla from the year 2119.
That’s hyperbole. The fact is that it had automated aspects that Blizzard did not like, and thus Blizzard wants it changed.

“Soon” within a few weeks… after everyone has been using it… and no one cares… magically it stays…
If it’s a few weeks, pretty much no one will be at cap and it won’t have the steam yet to be used by everyone.

The soical interactrion that happens when a group is formed, happens regardless… this is a totally irelevant arguement on your behalf… thats like saying fishing is relevant, couse you can be social when you fish…
the lfg addon had the potential to automate the social interaction to form a group, if you want to form groups, you need to do it like every one else, spend time on it, not have a tool automate the process for you…

As long as the invite API function doesn’t get restricted… otherwise it won’t work in CTRA either.
