I enjoyed the raids the most. They felt good to do and the progression difficulty wise just felt good to me. Personally don’t care about Arena and never have. I get you’re a “die hard classic fan, if you don’t like it you’re refail!” But others enjoying things you don’t as shocking as that may be is how it is in MMO’s.
The first time I killed Kael’thas & Lady Vash’j was super exciting. Mount Hyjal was pretty exciting the first few times but that quickly went away once it was on farm, although I enjoyed watching people hit the ground before popping their feather on Archimonde. BT I didn’t really feel much from until Illidan but it still felt more simple than the previous two. My Sunwell experience was eye opening to say the least, I didn’t make it far into there as the guild collapsed on itself but from what I remember the difficulty scaled exponentially and the encounters were all well done.
It seems more and more that the people starting these threads are trolls.
They always seem to only yell, “GIMME SOMETHING THAT GOES AGAINST THE WORD CLASSIC!” and do not really offer up good arguments. It is the sign of someone who isnt not trying to have a conversation.
That said, Classic was meant to be Vanilla WoW as it was when it ended. The devs have said this outright. I would be surprised at any major changes, and new content is pretty major.
Another point on this, during the time of Vanilla, TBC, and Wrath, PvP servers were not as popular as PvE servers. Right now, PvP servers are the most popular. This means a good chunk of the population base is only interested in killing each other. This does not need new PvE content to be popular.
In the end, the interest in Classic, remember, devs said keep it as close to the original as possible, will wane and for Blizz, money is a good thing, a new tier of Classic game with that expacs’s new gameplay and would would be a good thing.

If I’m afraid of anything it’s for your Wrath community, Classic will last, Wrath will be for the Retail players who couldn’t handle life without LFD.

If you want to play TBC and WOTLK just play retail. They’re the exact same as retail tbh.

So what? If you dislike those players so much, then why not be happy to let them have their own servers?
So just make a server for BC, WOTLK, CATA , MOP , WOD, LEGION? I’m sure someone would like a server for each and everyone of those…That’s not feasible dude…classic+ is a hell of a lot more feasible then that…If they updated classic like JageX did OSRS…It could be amazing.

Nobody’s really asking for anything past WotLK. Personally, I’m mostly here for TBC.
By all means enjoy your LFD, XP on BG’s, and your sanctuary cities.

Not really my cup of tea, although I did enjoy some of the abilities from the WotLK era.
I’m just not so selfish that I would begrudge other players what they might want, if it’s relatively easy to recreate.
Adding new content to Classic would be a heck of a lot more work, and to be completely honest, I don’t really want the modern WoW team to create new content. I’ve already seen the content that they create.
If you like that team’s content, why aren’t you playing retail?
You seem to be projecting a lot of “personal feelings” about me that I actually haven’t expressed. My original opinion only expressed how I don’t understand how people would want to go down a path they know leads to things the current player base doesn’t like.

They are not. Look at the spread of skills. Then consider that some classes do not have an interrupt BEFORE you outlevel the areas.
This is important because if we played with current mechanics, you will literally not be able to do what made a lot of the fun parts, aka using your utilities. Add in the current level scaling and item level crush, plus lack of set bonuses, and you might as well ask, why do you not want to play old Azeroth with current mechanics and classes?

The real reason you don’t want BC and onward is because you know it would kill Classic. Both BC and WotLK are significantly more balanced and have a far better end game than Classic.

That’s not what they want. You’re projecting what other people want.
They want the versions of the game before Cata, before removal of talent trees, before LFRs, before destruction of the old world, etc.
You obviously know this, but for some reason you are here acting exactly like retail players did when people asked for Classic. You think you want this, but you don’t, etc.

No one’s happy? Why not? The PvPers who hate flying can ground pound the entire xpac. They don’t want flying so they’re happy. Those of us who couldn’t give a fig about WPvP can fly on our PvE servers. So we’re happy.
Why would anyone be unhappy about this?
Imagine thinking that every single PvPer dislikes flying or believes that wPvP is ganking people running on roads.
I’m not sure you know what projecting means. I’m asking the question why would they like it knowing A, B, C, etc. I’ve received some answers to that question.
Because you’re making weird assumptions that people want it to keep going beyond WotLK, which there isn’t a huge crowd clamoring for.
“It leads to blablabla”. Sure. But they aren’t asking for that. They’re asking for the game before it actually got to those points.
And then your alternative option is to have the modern WoW team create content for Classic, when the vast majority of people who are here dislike what the modern WoW team created in the first place.
“Flying killed WPvP” is the number one reason people claim to dislike it. I happen to disagree with that but it’s been repeated so many times it’s beyond being a meme at this point.
Yes, it has been repeated a lot. By those who feel that way.
…which isn’t everyone. <.<
