Classic + is the only way, doing TBC and onward would be horrible!

What low level content is relevant in classic?

ganking turns into big fights on servers i played on, world pvp is more then ganking. if enemy faction raids your city, u can just fly up instead of fighting. your defending a crap game mechanic.

You get can items in ZF, Sunken Temple, RFD, Ulda, BRD, Mara, even trinkets from just quests that are very relevant for a long time.

I mean on classic you can just walk away or log off… flying doesnt change people from avoiding a city invasion…

TBC didnt kill Vanilla, we coined em “carebears,” wanted to pvp but didnt want to die, or the endless Southshore/Tauren Mill/STV gankfest. Change this Blizzard, nerf that Blizzard, and we got dishonorable kills.
AV took tooooo long they cried and we got a nerfed zergfest of pointlessness, nerf rogues, nerf mages, nerf leveling its too slow, I have to run everywhere.
Instead of sticking with the WoW from launch Blizzard started listening to the playerbase that wanted it easier in thinking it would attract and keep more players and $$ became the downfall instead of sticking to the model that they had that was the reason WoW was successful in the first place.
Sure it became the period where it appeared to work bringing WoW to its peak subscribers…but alot of the “Vanilla” players started leaving long before whereas us “historian” players just played the game up till today when we look at Retail and go wtf am I playing.
As typical, here we are repeating history…break this addon, nerf this, I want flying…and of course I’m looking at phase 2 and the dishonorable kills coming and I will watch the first nail in the coffin be hammered.
I hope for a long Classic as its the closest we will come to Vanilla ever again.

I got all that while leveling… i havent gone back to anything below BRD since i hit 60…

No flying on PvP servers. Everyone’s happy.

Stupid idea, no one is happy…

I feel like you are missing the bigger picture. Later xpacs were all about accessibility to the masses. Most people didn’t raid end game because it took a long time and a lot of just grinding of regular everyday stuff. People were doing lower level content up until the end of Naxx for stuff.

All the xpacs started catering to the casual player, making elite stuff not really that elite anymore.

I think you are trying to draw a picture that isn’t there… Once DM comes out in phase 2 almost all content below it isn’t needed…

Horrible in that is was the highest revenue generating era of this game?

Ooops.

Glazed over some important facts. I love how some kid doesn’t like something and it suddenly becomes “everyone”, “ever”, “most”, blah blah blah.

I came back for one reason only… assuming this would roll into BC and Lich King. I would have never came back if I knew otherwise. Same with pretty much 99% of my friends.

I can tell you it’s the same for Classic, albeit the content will be easier due to skill cap being better, but the accessibility will still be hard for many people because they don’t raid due to time constraints. Most people would have been Level 70 by now. Most people are only near Level 40 right after three weeks.

Agreed…All expansions would end and lead us right back to retail…classic+ is the future like JageX did OSRS…

So by your own logic, Classic+ would also never happen, you really think Blizz is going to overwrite pure Classic servers with Classic+? The only way it doesnt get split into three games is if Classic is left to stand alone.
But fret not, I think this whole worry of splitting the playerbase is irrelevant. Well over half the ppl playing Classic want nothing to do with retail and wouldnt play it if it was all there was. In the same sense the vast majority of current Classic players are going to be done playing it within 1 to 2 years, except maybe occasionally visiting.
Then you have to realize that as long as you have an active server any version of the game will thrive. Which ever game is less popular should naturally have less servers, ensuring all servers stay vibrant.
Then dont even get me started on how Diablo fragments Blizzards playerbase, or how ESO fragments the MMORPG playerbase. There are millions upon millions of gamers out there that play more than one game at a time, let alone in a year.

Speak for yourself buddy. A lot of people want BC and Wrath servers. Wrath is the high point of WoW in terms of popularity and success. Undeniable fact. These servers would be a huge hit.

Of course people know where those xpacs eventually lead.

That’s why they want to play the versions of the game before it actually got to that point.

Those who dislike TBC and later versions can stay in Classic. Literally doesn’t effect you.

It was popular and successful true. However people are aware of where the path goes now. The systems it created are what we hate now. Plus at that time you’d have a very fractured community. People playing Retail, people playing Classic, people playing BC, then people playing Wrath.

Doesn’t guarantee Wrath Classic would be a “hit”.

Show us! Get 250k sigs…get a huge PS going and show us…

Here’s the rub, TBC and LK aren’t as popular and will not bring back old players like Classic did. In fact the players that came back for Classic will start to leave again cause the game starts changing in a bad way again.

No, Cata at the start was…try harder…

No, it would be a let down and it would hurt Bilzz more then help them, could you imagine the S$#t show that would happen when LFG went live in LK? How flying would ruin World PvP again and make the world feel small again…

Who in their right mind want’s to make the same mistakes twice? Not to mention we have a golden opportunity to do something different and go down a new path…the excitement that will bring will help stock prices and their bottom line. It makes business sense and it makes Blizz a hit with the community again!

It doesn’t lead anywhere if it stops at WotLK.

People talk about this “fractured community”, but what you really mean is that you want to force people to play a game they’re not really happy with because you’re afraid you’ll have less people to play with.

If so many people feel the same as you, then you’ll be just fine.
