FACTS
They want to control challenges in the environment of a MMO while also believing they are playing hardcore.
How does it only affect hardcore players, who at this point are the overwhelming majority of players on my server? I am not hardcore, but most of my levelers have been killed to high level players kiting elites, high level mobs from nearby zones, or guards from the other faction’s bases. There is at least one player who does this for hours on end, moving from one popular leveling zone to another, so players cannot change zones to be safe.
There is more than one player doing this, as I have seen it happening in multiple zones at the same time.
There is no reason for them to continue to shield people who are breaking the rules. And while you might feel that these people deserve to be coddled and pandered to as though they are blizzard employees who should suffer no consequences for killing hundreds of players over an 8 hour period, there’s a name for this. It’s called zone disruption.
They need to ban a tiny number of players (your sadistic friends?) who practice this, and make all mobs, elites, and guards leash back. That would take care of this problem just like they fixed it in subsequent expansions.

Blizzard is making bank on classic right now. But people will increasingly give up as they find the game is unplayable.
How much money do you think Blizzard should be willing to forgo to satisfy the ego of some sociopath who gets off on driving hundreds of players from the game?
Zone disruption is against the rules, even if you think it would be hilarious to be able to play wow as a single player game.

It’s actually a thing that new players who have little invested in a game (in any game) are likely to leave when they realize the game is rigged against them in ways that make it not fun. That make them feel that continuing to play is a waste of time if people like you are being rewarded for making the game unplayable and trashing them to boot.
The majority of new players in any game quit within a few hours. You think that number is not large enough. You think the only people who should find the game rewarding are sociopaths and those who drive other players from the game because they can’t treat people that badly in real life without consequences.
I think it’s too bad so many players like you are opposed to the existence of a community. But hey, all that matters is that you are being entertained.
No Im saying there is not a meaningful amount of players quitting over being ganked. LOL.

It actually is. Rather than quit though, I merely started over on a server in the Mankrik cluster. So much nicer there. People griefing the RP server are only dispersing us elsewhere.

for people who hate left-interact, just turn it on when you interact with flight masters in goblin towns. once you’re in flight, turn it off again. that’s really the only place you’re gonna run into this grief.

also i don’t see why some forum trolls are so adamantly defending stupid things like being a stealthed lvl 2 rogue /sleeping directly on the flight master. if blizzard can somehow put a stop to such nonsense, that’s a good thing. it’s a smaller ask than the stupid chronoboons 
You need to be alert AND use L click everywhere. About a week ago they were using quest NPCs at the speedway in 1K Needles.
Like I said before, they will go to great lengths to get you to interact.
