Classic Hardcore and Griefing

Horde doesn’t even have a fraction of the griefing you guys get on ally.

Was nobody going to note how comedic that played out? Bro got wombo-combo’d :skull:

Haha, projecting again I see.
Sorry, I’m not your type. Besides, I don’t believe you want to get in line.

Ha loved the orc stealth and on top of the flight master pretty slick move loved it.

ikr. When I see people making ice sculptures, I like to knock them over. It’S sO fUnNy

Contrary to the opinions of people that believe a high post count is indicative of “no lyfe”, I’m not here to answer at your beck and call. You can @me if you want but I might not respond since I’m not a helicopter parent.

However the post having to do with the contact from a GM makes it clear.
It’s not the simple movement of the mob - it’s the frequency that apparently merited the talk. I mean we can speculate that what lit the fire was that a content creator got or almost got turned into red paste but those that kite on repeat have always run the risk on a PVE server of getting the hammer for zone disruption. That was never the argument or position I supported but I can see how someone that conveniently ignores the nuance might miss that.

Kiting baddies has been a part of the game for almost 20 years and shouldn’t go away.
People still need to be aware of their surroundings and take responsibility for a death that can be prevented. Players I know that have done this (not recently so again don’t @me about “griefing” on BsB) have macros to announce they are in the area and don’t drag drakes/dragonspawn/drakonid around all day every day - it’s the frequency that causes the issue and Blizzard is fine to address that on an individual basis instead of removing the ability to kite altogether thus in essence putting giant crib bumpers on the PVE servers.

It’s sad that rather than accept the risks of a dangerous game world, people continually ask to neuter it rather than treat it as part of the challenge. But you do you.

Yes, we’re talking about rules for the official hardcore servers that blizz is working on. They’re already banning griefers - it makes sense to make minimal modifications to the mechanics that help minimize griefing opportunities and improve playability for those using these servers.

Just visited my WOTLK toon and saw there were 24 horde toons logged in TOTAL on that server. Meanwhile, there were over 200 playing hardcore in my guild alone. Your “small number” of people is currently staggeringly high. I expect it will eventually drop, but meanwhile… give it a shot if you’re up to it.

Fake news. They banned one who was griefing his own faction for 10 hours a day. Someone like that deserves it.

It’s still ok to kill someone of the opposite faction anytime you want as long as it isn’t excessive.

Multiple have received suspensions, working their way to perma bans if they continue.

Wrong. That’s exploiting to grief. A clear violation of the EULA. Reported for encouraging players to cheat.

Not true. No video evidence. Only a select random screenshots that is not enough to prove it. If you review the ToS no rule is in place that goes against what players are doing to HC addon users. Most HC addon users though are violating the ToS for RP realms and can be reported forcing name changes and even perma ban given repeat offense.

Keep dreaming. Blizz president even tweeted how he thinks HC is great. And it’s been on Bloodsail – well known info to him. You’re just griefing players on the forum about it.

Prove that the tweet was from the president of blizzard. Oh wait you can’t anymore…

that’s what all griefers do
they are sad, pathetic people
and so are those who defend them :expressionless:

uh yeah, on a PvP server. not a PvE server.

I have it time stamped for you

Asmongold is as fake as it comes. You couldn’t even take the time to link the actual video he was watching. Which in it’s own right does not show enough proof that it was real.

These forums are thick with his fanboys.

Makes sense his subreddit failed so hard they don’t even talk about him anymore.
