Classic Hardcore and Griefing

100% in agreement lol, they raided an RP server, so all the flak they are dishing out on the forums is extremely hypocritical. Until they have their own server, they need to suck it up.

I think constructive feedback and all that is surely warranted to get a good iteration of the server that may come to be, but the weird entitlement of the hc cult is weird…

If you don’t want to pvp, don’t attack pvp targets lol

Once they realize there are no appeals, they will abandon the server and come back anyway, rofl.

This type or organizing has led to many atrocities over recorded history. Some of which are fresh in the minds of many. Its a video game get over it and how big is your brain to judge how people are irl by how they choose to spend their time playing world of warcraft

You can easily attack another player when you have no intention to.

There are good rogue griefers that will wait next to a mob just before you attack it and you attack them forcing unwanted PvP.

If players want to engage in PvP on the Hardcore Server, it should be a requirement that both players are Flagged. Making it unable to attack another player unless both persons are flagged.

Besides like the Gurubashi Arena, or Gadgetzan Arena.

I mean it’s a pretty simple solution. Get rid of pvp flagging on hardcore servers. Ez

The idea that it’s too difficult to use the option menu in game to enable the interact on left click or ignore that solution is just weird. People would rather be careless and not aware of their surroundings so that unintended things happen.

Doesn’t seem to me like the one-life thing is that meaningful to some.
Why not since there are lolappeals?

Again it’s possible to mistakenly attack someone when you have no intention to. There are really good rogue griefers that will get you when you’re out farming mobs in the world. They can easily get you to tag them.

Sounds like people want to play easycore instead of hardcore. I bet I could appeal my way to 60 by using the names of griefers whenever I die.

The conversation is about preventing this on official hardcore servers.

When you die in the Hardcore server there will be no appeals.

Im not a fan of being able to appeal a death in the challenge. At that point you are Softcore multilifer. But it is there BECAUSE players playing Hardcore are forced to play with Softcore players. The Softcore do not have to care about dying.

griefers won’t kill you. a DDoS or simple DC and you’re gone.

Amusing that you have chosen to counter a label you don’t care for (easycore) with one that you believe is equally disparaging (softcore).

You have stated you want a one life, death=delete server yet you’ve also championed changing the game fundamentally to remove certain mechanics that some of your fellows have trouble matching. Getting rid of the obstacles lessens the achievement in my opinion. I suggest sticking with the request for a simple death=delete server. Leave the hurdles in to be overcome and make the victory that much sweeter. Don’t ask for Blizzard to dumb it down. People need to step up their game. One life at 60 isn’t for everyone or is hc about participation trophies?

Why should someone be forced into PvP ending their Hardcore run when they have no intention in engaging in PvP?

At the end of the day it’s malicious intent to end someone’s run. This is not something both parties are agreeing upon doing.

Will some people want to risk their characters in a PvP battle, they might. But forcing another player who doesn’t want to end their character in that manner is griefing and should be considered against ToS.

I think PvP should be turned off for this game mode. But the way the Gurubashi Arena and Gadgetzan Arena works should remain. Those will be your PvP zones.

As I’ve been saying, they want to be seen as a hardcore player but they don’t wanna play hardcore

Whats your definition of Hardcore.

PvPing with 1 life?

1 life and that’s it. People post here every day with different ideas in an attempt to neutralize as many avenues for dying as possible

Took your comment and changed it a bit to reflect how war mode started. War mode fundamentally changes the game.
No matter what the server type you play on, you must still be cautious. When you remove caution in an RPG you greatly diminish the overall game. Leveling in retail must be a snooze fest, no caution needed, lightning speed leveling, difficulty removed, etc.
This is Classic Era, where the warts are still visible and I’d like it to remain so. It’s why I play it. I doubt I’m alone on this stance.
If you believe a HC tagged server will eliminate this “griefing” you will be disappointed. People go to great lengths to ‘own you’ and will continue to do so.
Does it suck? Yes. But that’s the way an RPG should be. :woman_shrugging:t4:

Bloodsail was picked as a server because it was the lowest pop of the PvE and RP servers. Lowest pop = quietest. Lowest pop = being bothered the least.

A PVE or RP server was the only option because it was known that losers with no life would grief people. It’s still happening on a non PvP server, proving the point.

The fake rage from the non RPers can stop because there was barely anyone on Bloodsail when we made characters there. Also the main person griefing literally named his character after Kargoz. Toxic losers who have nothing better to do = instant ban.

Source: I was there.

Thats actually brilliant trolling.

This is the unfortunate truth.
Should Blizz bless the hc folk with a new server (or servers) of their very own, there will still be people that roll there for the lolz. Editing out pvp will not change that. Leashing mobs will not stop them. Pwnage will find a way.

Not that it’s really necessary though. Inattention and carelessness are the reasons for most shots in feet that lead to death of characters.
