I raid for fun, not gold, not to carry, not to be carried - for fun and to progress which would most likely be with a guild, just like in 2005.
I don’t raid for gold or because ‘oh, it’s so boring, I won’t do it if i don’t get gold’.

So you never had to play with GDKP, excuses, are just that, I didn’t join any GDKPs and had zero problems, and no gold was never a problem if you actually raid and are even moderately self sufficeint.
As for the timeline, they showed it, and it looks like at best it’s 12 months of fresh, quite probably less, so it’s likely going to be a hard push from start to finish of many of the guilds, and good players playing the right class will be desired like they always are.
Perhaps thats you, and you can say play a high parsing warrior, which will be highly in demand. Just make sure you have those buffs and all the required consumes, as most good guilds have standards and wont want you otherwise.
without gdkp, normal folks would practically has no chance at super rare item like legendries. It will be HR’d only to raid leader’s friends. Wake up folks.
It takes 1 bad apple to ruin the bunch. If you want to point fingers, point them at the people who started all the scams.
They cant monitor discord and if RMT happens, thats breaking the “I agree” thing you sign logging in.
People buy gold from gold sellers because of GDKPs, dont lie, they are well aware.
Inflating the AH because of this means casuals cant even buy basic items without ripping an arm or leg off.
I have played this game 20 years, and people crying about this baffles me. Just play the game instead of using half your paycheck to buy gold and then wondering why you cant get groceries.

I hate to break it to you but the people who have no issues buying gold are STILL buying gold.
I had to get an addon to filter GDKP spam because the people that host them post their ads 5 times a minute and my ignore list hit the cap.
Nope. I think that it just stops GDKP. I don’t care to buy gold in order to raid for GDKP-which is what you’re going to be doing if you aren’t geared enough to carry in GDKP raids. There’s most definitely an egg that comes before the chicken here.
Cool! Blizzard not doing their part vs bots is on them to work out, but just because people still buy gold doesn’t mean that I take the approach of “oh well, might as well just let this run rampant because there will still be people who buy gold

Seriously, GDKP infects every facet of the game and I’m ecstatic that we won’t be dealing with it (mainstream anyway) on the realms.
