Except that’s not really how it works most of the time in GDKP. For example, healer or tank gear usually comes very cheap and you usually make more gold even while getting some BiS by the end of the run.There’s no use arguing with you as you are not willing to listen and understand to others opinion. But i’ll say again, as someone who did a lot of GDKP, I’d be willing to bet that 90% of the people to not buy gold. There is clearly some whales in GDKP who very clearly bought gold and end up being a major part of the final pot, but that’s a minority. Even without those people ( and I’d be perfectly fine with it), GDKP would still be a fun and healthy way to both make gold and distribute gear.

If I go into a gdkp run, highest bidder wins, but the only advantage other players have over each other is GOLD, which could be legitimate…or could be bought.
And in a non-GDKP, whoever is friends with raid lead in discord gets the gear, and everyone else gets rugged. They’ll also expect you to be perfect minmaxxed spec, geared, and to have every single consume, which the prices of will be way higher without GDKP. So the demand for gold buying to be able to afford consumes and respecs constantly will probably be HIGHER than if GDKP exists.
If they are going to not allow GDKP, they need to at least allow completely free dual spec, or raiding is going to be a nightmare for regular people who can’t play the game 20 hours a week.
If they want a true fair environment “in the spirit of classic”, then they could ban HR, SR, loot council, and logs as well as GDKP, but they won’t because fairness and stopping botting is not the goal, it’s sweats who know people at Blizzard wanting to gatekeep getting geared.

Again. This is the audience the changes are made for and the intelligence of the other players people can expect in Classic Classic.
Having my intelligence insulted by a random cheater on the forums who doesn’t just have the nuts to say “yep GDKP is for cheaters and everyone knows it and we couldn’t care less if it messed up the for everyone else” doesn’t have the impact you wish it did.

Half your guild buys gold.
You can remove rmt and bots and gdkps would still exist.
Blizzard bans them and it acts like a placebo effect on you guys, you get to think blizzard cares, meanwhile your servers are overrun with bots and rmt still.
A large portion of the serious PVErs will not be able to take pve seriously (a gdkp guild holds the naxx speed run record and the next 4 records are all gdkp runs) must be a bunch of gold buyers and sellers clearing naxx in 40 min. If I want to pve I’ll be logging onto era. I’ll just be wpvping these trolls on fresh and they’ll cry about that in the forums too.

These people aren’t invited to discord gdkps so they have no idea what they are.
After top retail guilds clear Mythic, they start selling boosts as soon as they can. What difference are you trying to present here? Besides doing it in the easiest version of the game.
they didn’t just log on 1 week and break records they grinded their butt off all year to pull it off and are constantly being challenged by other gdkp runs so they continue to keep working at it. There’s no room for sellers or gear buyers. Stop demonizing gdkp, the most hardcore vanilla players prefer gdkp it’s the best system for an adult that can’t play like they did when they were 20

Do you think anyone believes this? If you’re actually running a competitive guild with no buyers in your raids, there’s no reason to use GDKP instead of DKP or LC. Everyone knows vanilla is so easy to the point that you can bring enough buyers to have an auction instead of 1-2 achievement buyers at a flat rate. Which is the real reason people use GDKP to RMT in vanilla and why they sell boosts to RMT in retail.
And so do the casuals who would never clear the content without skilled players to carry them
It’s a system that works for everyone. guilds aren’t going to take those players into their roster when they’re barely clearing the content themselves as is. Populations flourish because of gdkp for that reason. Gdkp caters to everyone who can’t be apart of a guild

There’s 20+ gdkp naxx runs a week and you’re trying to single out one run as the definition of gdkp
