Yeah the PVP honor system needs to be reverted back to what it was. In no way shape or form should it be continued into SoM 2. The whole point was about the social journey; not getting rank 14 for everybody. It’s completely destroyed right now. And the late stage version of it will just be fields full of rank 14s gatekeeping anybody from even trying to rank.

Forum Real ID would just make it so people can’t hide (typically to troll but sometimes for no reason) and I wouldn’t have any desire to say anything.
I’ve never gotten a vacation in-game or on the forums. I said no names. Not worried.

ERA was effectively “FRESH” just a few months ago. There was less than 5% of the player base with any gear 6 months back.
Era was so backwater 6 months ago we literally organized events like WSG, raids, dueling tournaments, etc because the community was very small.
The economy was 100% “FRESH”, and there were no Gold DKP, and as far as I could tell zero bots.
The problems came in 2 forms.

Blizzard gave SoM transfers to Era… (Transfers are ALWAYS) a mistake unless otherwise entirely needed. and frankly SoM Characters should have been deleted as its a “Seasonal” game.

Botters turned up because the credit card warriors turned up when Wrath died due its failure in design and the advent of the WoW token. The coiners came to ERA because wrath died, not because they really wanted to be here… Because Blizzard fails to deal with botting due to the fact that they have effectively zero in game GM’s in a tiny game… the bots run rampant. Its not a hard problem to solve but Blizzard like bots because they are buff to quarterly numbers, even though the result of this is the unavoidable death of a game or server.
This is inaccurate. GDKPs quickly took root in the free xfer destinations once green-lit. Believe it or not, users would broadcast their prevalence on the other clusters to lure them into that cesspool.

I played on Whitemane since the Launch of Classic Era. If you were on Whitemane you would have known this.
There were no Gold DKP’s until just recently; realistically within the last 4 months-ish is when all the botters and gold DKP turned up on Whitemane Cluster.

There were no gold DKP until a few months ago. There were not really enough players to field more than a few WSG games under community organized play.
We literally organized everything. It makes me wonder if you’re thinking of Seasons of Mastery? That’s not the same.
Where did I say Era was bad? oh that’s right I did not say that… IMO there are some aspect of just 6 months ago when Era was low pop that was overall better.
But Long story short, Era is fine, if you don’t like it play a different game.
I think his takes on things are fine.

Its difficult to justify being moderate or tolerant with people who’s position is effectively “too many people are enjoying the game please remove fun”

This is a non-sequitor. The GDKP culture is independant of Era’s organization for BGs. The Free Xfer destinations have harbored Era’s GDKP filth for years.
