not entitled here… I paid the money for the clone on my main character that had 24 pieces of atiesh. When I came back it showed up, but then poof wasn’t there.
No, you THINK you were on a different realm in Classic 2019.
That only happened when they consolidated the realms IN WRATH. All the original realms in classic 2019 were copied into Classic Era, and they are still there.
if they are still there, why is my lvl 60 and other characters that were on my original server not there? I would like my vanilla characters back on vanilla please. I never wanted them on Wrath, i dont care for and will not play wrath
Vanilla doesn’t exist anymore, it’s moved on to TBC then onto Wrath. You had to actively choose to play on Era when it came out in 2021.
They are exactly where you left them. On the progression realms. Classic Era realms were new in 2021. You had such a long time to choose.
It was the natural progression from Vanilla 2019 to TBC then to Wrath.
I loved my classic character and classic wow. I love it so much I quit months before classic progressed over to TBC and didnt even know they had done that and that they had actually progressed all the way to Wrath in the nearly 3 years I totally ignored my characters and classic WoW and didnt pay Blizz a cent over that time.
Obviously, Im owed something here. Yknow since I love the game so much I dont play it for years only to come back and not want to play it some more.
thats not how classic was advertised…
Dude at this point you’re a meme.
This response is obviously sarcastic, but this is the most common story among wow classic players complaining about clones. Most classic players like classic because they don’t enjoy the expansions. So yes, many players quit right before TBC and didn’t come back until WOTLK to find their characters deleted.
After my guild stopped progressing in classic, I quit the game and didn’t return until I had an opportunity to play fresh classic. I never thought that blizzard would ever delete my characters since they’ve said in the past that they would never do this. This is why you see so many posts on this forum about this subject.
If this wasn’t your experience, then that’s okay. Many people did have their characters deleted though and didn’t log in to pay for the clone.
Thing is, them being deleted is false. The Era realm, albeit the same name, is not the realm you played on in 2019. The Wrath version of that realm is the realm you played on in 19. You have access to the character, you just dont have access to it on the Era realm.
No, we see them all because the trolls can create sub level 20 accounts to astroturf with no effort.
exactly what I don’t understand.
I created my characters on HEROD CLASSIC. they were all moved to some other server on WOTLK.
herod classic server is still around but my characters are all deleted from there.
You are not understanding what happened.
Either that or youre purposefully ignoring it
I understand the justification for what happened. It still does not make this situation right.
How does it not? Blizzard made the decision to advance the servers and gave over 600 days for people to clone their characters onto the new Era servers. Whatever your situation was that kept you from either cloning your character or not knowing about it is on your end.
It doesn’t matter how much time they gave me. Blizzard has said in the past that they would never delete characters even if you unsubscribed for years.
I’ve never had a retail character deleted.
This just doesn’t sit right with me and makes me cautious to play any version of classic they come out with in the future due to the risk of losing my character.
They kept their word, those characters arent deleted
No characters were deleted, they were progressed through the classic xpacs just like retail vanilla toons were.
They were deleted. This is not retail WoW. This is classic Wow.
that’s like them moving my characters to some warlords of draenor server with 50 players and saying “derp they’re not deleted”
The server you were on turned into a TBC server, they never promised it wouldn’t. They even gave you 600 days to clone a character on a classic server, but you neglected to do so. Welcome to life, you snooze you lose.
Yes it was promised. Blizzard has previously said that they would never delete characters. This is not appropriate on activisions part.
