You do realize the server your character was on when you came back was the exact same server you picked in 2019 right? The classic era server was the different one.
There were also various different price points for your character to remain on Era which ranged from free to $35. You having left the game is not Blizzards problem.

No, I was on a completely different server than when I left. & If they were free, why on earth wouldnât they just do it without having to ask you? You could always delete it later if you donât want it. Your post is useless.
Im 100% serious when I say the server you chose at Vanilla in 19 is the server youre on for Wrath. The Era servers were a cloned version of the original server.
Well, idk what to tell you⌠I was on a completely different server than when I played in 2019-start of 2020. I know for a fact I was NOT on the server I ended up finding myself in. I had characters on two different servers and placeholder characters on many other servers. I came back to about 20 characters all shoved into a different server. Donât try to tell what happened. I am not stupid. Iâm not mad at you or anyone here. Iâm upset with the customer service and how they handled this topic.
Edit Before you tell me not to be mad at customer service, I obviously donât mean the puppets talking to me. Iâm talking about the customer service experience for the entire player base that has and will experience this. The people pulling the strings in the background to fill their pockets.

I got an email that said they were running a clone special, $5 USD per WoW Era character, before unclaimed characters would be removed.
Wish I got one, I would of cloned my pallys for $5
Same. No emails and I manually look through every email every 1-3mo. Nothing ever seen. Nothing in spam either.

You might consider taking a break from clone threads if itâs causing you distress. /shrug
I spoke with support for a while and basically its above them. Yet if there is enough ask from the community they âcouldâ reopen the cloning service again. Many people like me lost our characters who never intended to leave vanilla era classic. We just have to keep making posts and have the numbers to back up that this is something the player base wants.
They did it to regain 1tb of space on their hard drives
