How young do you think we are lol
I love everything that you said and completely agree. While my hunters are alts, I appreciate them just as much as my mains.
I keep saying this on these forums, but Iāll say it againā¦I wish these devs would just fix what they broke instead of disturbing things that are working.
Itās amazing to see the amount of effort to change the Lone Wolf aspect of MM hunters instead of focusing on fixing unattainable mounts and battle pets that were broken during patches.
Definitely noticing the devs are focusing on the wrong thing here.
Iām not arguing in their defense.
I was just thinking about mm hunter and how I liked being able to run around in open world with my bear.
That bear kept me from getting killed. A lot.
Not anymore though.
I donāt really like bm hunter. To me, itās boring. So I was thinking of myself and how I like to play.
Thatās all.
Rogue4lyfe
Thatās understandable. Tbh the only reason I am bm now is because of surv going melee in legion and mm has been super clunky to me for ages as well.
Bm just feels the best overall.
More people need to realize that you keep pets. Theyāll just be in stable and usable in BM and Surv. Donāt have to tame anything āagainā.
It used to be CMs would filter out important information and general feedback from the forums but theyāve canned so much support staff Iād be surprised if they have more than a couple CMs for all the forums in multiple regions.
I was there, Gandalf.
I was there when Community Managers would commonly take part in conversations and share what they knew with players. Where they became beloved personalities who even had their own memes. Where it felt like a dialogue with instead of an errant blue post and months of silence.
Its weird to think that when you used to put in a ticket, you got to talk to someone. Even have full blown conversations with them well after they fixed your problem.
Fun how times change.
Yup Iām guessing itāll be a future Glyph
Reads title. Directly afterwards reads:
OP confused on what gutted means? lol
Thatās going corporate for ya unfortunately
Iāve kinda been observing this thread from a far but youāre picking on players who havenāt had the same experience as you. Sounds like you have had a great experience but for others like myself and this other hunter we have been left to the dust pretty much. The fact that you have to vette and people screen through addons for mythic + is astoundingly toxic. The issue is that the best gear is locked away at the very top of the chain. Much like irl with actual jobs and money. Now think to yourself for a moment. Yes it must be amazing to be a part of the 1 percentile of the elite mythic + crew. And socializing on this game is utterly a fail now thanks to elitism and lfr, dungeon finder and vetting.
Every person I say something to just flat out ignores me or hops into a que. I play on the top population realm across the board and its everyone for themselves except for the elitists. They help each other out but no one else in between. The gatekeeping is killing the game. And if you canāt see it then you are looking through rose tinted glasses.
How is pointing out they are trash talking content that they havenāt even set foot in picking on people?
Clearly you arenāt observing if that was your conclusion.
You do this with ALL content. Iād love to see you throw together a heroic raid and invite anyone that applies without looking at ilvl or prog, then let me know how that goes.
And yet again, if you did read like you said you did, youād know you donāt NEED addons. I believe I said that a few times, I could be wrong though. Addons are not required.
And the game has a built in rating system to track progress.
And yes you vette players. You arenāt going to invite someone who is 610 to a +10 or someone who is 1k io to a +8.
Score shows a baseline experience. Ilvl lets them perform to a level to either kill the things to beat the timer or actually survive the mechanics.
Thatās not an issue. You get what you work for, so itās working as intended.
You do realize the 1% is literally bragging rights right? There is no better gear attached to this? Gearing stops at a +10. And that ā1 percentileā turns into more like 30% if you are talking just gear cap and not score chasing.
Make yourself stand out amongst thousands of other players?
Make friends so you have like minded people to queue with?
Make your own groups?
The only āgatekeepingā is in your own mind.
You gatekeep YOURSELF from this content by being so negative. Iāve pugged my ksm and aotcs the past few years across several toons.
You have to be self made until you find a guild or make friends.
This self victimization is what is hurting you. And tbh you are like the other guy I replied to.
I look at your toon and your account. You havenāt even full cleared lfr raid. Havenāt even done the dungeons at a heroic level.
You did TWO different mythic dungeons in DF, you didnāt even break a 5.
So all this talk about āelitismā when you havenāt even scratched the surface in this content. So Iāll finish with what I told the other guy.
At least DO the content before trashing it. And if you want to do social content, BE SOCIAL.
Please tell me how your actions restrict me from playing. How does you going off and playing your way stop me from playing my way?
Iāll wait
Blizzard loves to destroy the character of classes. Itās all about twitchy gameplay to support M+ now. Hunter was my 2nd ever toon way back in 2005. I still main him in every expansion. The playstyle and feeling of a hunter that tames wild beasts and forms a bond with them was what I loved about hunters. I loved micro managing my pet. MM doesnāt feel like A hunter at all. Itās more warrior/archer.
Hunters are defined by their pets. Period.
I find it funny they talk about m+ and players gatekeeping, yet they are a pvp hpaly.
Like if you want gatekeeping. Rated pvp is as close as it gets in this game lol.
āYou do this with ALL content. Iād love to see you throw together a heroic raid and invite anyone that applies without looking at ilvl or prog, then let me know how that goes.ā
Back in Wrath of the lich king times you could pug heroic raids. Yes it would be difficult but it was achievable.
āMake yourself stand out amongst thousands of other players?
Make friends so you have like minded people to queue with?
Make your own groups?ā
Back in older expansions you could make friends through leveling in the open world by helping someone with quests. Now itās alot more closed off.
āThe only āgatekeepingā is in your own mind.
You gatekeep YOURSELF from this content by being so negative. Iāve pugged my ksm and aotcs the past few years across several toons.ā
Dude honestly itās not that deep. I donāt wanna have to put insane rocket scientist skills to work on this game or have to do 2 hour vetting sessions for mythic 12 runs just to get top of the line gear. I just donāt have the time in real life. Thatās the main problem it should be more accessible but the players who are broken, handicapped, full time jobs in corporate world and the busy solo parent doesnāt have the time to achieve the top gear.
āSo all this talk about āelitismā when you havenāt even scratched the surface in this content. So Iāll finish with what I told the other guy.
At least DO the content before trashing it. And if you want to do social content, BE SOCIAL.ā
Ok well if I have to vette and put that much into it for hours. Not worth my time tbh
Waitā¦ the game changed in 15 years?
And no you absolutely could not pug a heroic LK and it be successful most of the time. That fight was insane for pugs. That fight was still hard through a good part of cataclysm.
I would know. I farmed that raid for invincible for 15 years.
Itās not. Every new toon I make, I add at least 5 new people to my friends list.
If you want friends, you have to be social. If you are stone quiet in every run, you canāt expect to meet people.
Make jokes. Talk about nonsense. Key thing, be social.
Youāre right. Itās not that deep. YOU are making it that deep though by blaming it on elitism and gatekeeping.
Donāt expect to get invited to stuff if you are under the bar. You have to work your way up.
And again, m+ gear caps at a 10. And donāt expect to get into a 10 without a decent score and ilvl.
I also work full time, yet I manage to do this every season, every year. There is time if you make it and if you WANT it. Just expecting to queue and almost demanding an invite isnāt going to cut it.
Grow your ilvl and your score. Queue what you are qualified for.
And why is your main focus ātop gearā? Thatās your problem right there.
Itās a gear progression system. Not do the thing at meh level and get top gear because you want it.
Sounds like you didnāt want to spend any time in it at all and just want it handed to you
And again, based on your profile, you havenāt even dabbled in this content to be this pessimistic about it.
Get off reddit and the forums and do the thing.
I just dont understand this frame of mind. I play like 5 hours a week max. I do the weeklies and thats about it. I do not expect to get ātop lineā gear. How cheap would the game be if I can get on 5 hours a week and earn the best stuff? I dont Mythic+, I dont Raidā¦I dont even hardly Delve, though I do some T8s for the funsies.
My Vault has like 1-2 items each week at most.
I would never expect to get anything more than I put into it?
Curious, do you expect the same in RL? Like Youāre a cashier at walmart but you should get paid like the GM?
I dunno, this train of thought isnāt true in ANY facet of life so why should it be true in gaming?
The better you do, the more you do, the more you get out of it.
Homie gaming shouldnāt be remotely similar to real life. Otherwise the escape isnāt an escape at all. Itās cool I get it though. Elites need rewards and need to be pampered to feel special
