I’m assuming that this is all data-driven. I’m on record talking about doubletap when it was removed, on these forums. The last tiny bit of depth in the marks pvp damage kit that existed went away with it. I don’t want it back, but this is ridiculous. Rapidfire shouldn’t need a base 140% pvp modifier so that enough low armor targets die in low cr shuffle to somehow average this spec out with the others. Like just look at how many things you gave mage access to when you reworked it. Hunter doesn’t have to be this way. You’re making random battlegrounds really frustrating and skewing the perceived power of this spec in content that matters. It makes me not care about playing it.

what? they are buffing MM damage in pvp LOL

Look at drustvar, watch awc, look at notes. A lot of them make sense if you look at it from the perspective of someone who doesn’t understand the game that well.

Numerically speaking, marks isn’t a highly represented ranked pvp spec at high ratings. Nobody that plays it or plays against it thinks that the reason it’s not highly represented is because it doesn’t do enough damage.

I’m really hoping MM at least gets a rework so it doesn’t have to rely on being overtuned anymore.

It’s needed it at least as bad as anything else that’s been reworked since DF launch. There are just gaps in mechanics. Instead of adding more/better mechanics, they just add damage.

Camouflage should have this logic applied to it if MM is going to be doing unhealable damage.

They’ve done the same thing with Feral to address them removing all of its active healing, it doesn’t make these specs feel good, they just feel like crap for everyone.

Fix the wendy’s secret menu of spells that go through turtle first pls

Agreed.

They should probably just treat Turtle like a true immunity like Block and Bubble are.

I think sniper shot ought to go. A lot of marks’ power budget is spent on it. The relative power it adds to the spec in unranked/random content vs. ranked content holds it back big time. The conditions when you lose to it feel really stupid. Beating it is really easy when you’re prepared for it. It’s never been a good mechanic. Give it literally anything else.

Offensively, something that reduces armour on the enemy is probably a healthier tuning knob than just piling on Rapid Fire damage every 2 months that only serves to make cloth specs unplayable in to MM.

People miss old ranged survival. Current marks suffers against melee comps because it is designed similarly to mage in that you cannot facetank damage ever, except it does not have the ability to do mage stuff to get its damage off sometimes while also not facetanking damage. As frustrating as it is to lose to hunter as mage, it’s equally frustrating to just not ever be able to open a window for damage against two melee as marks.

It should be obvious. Change sniper shot into a sylvanas themed attack that replaces aimed shot. It does 80% of normal aimed shot damage over 2 globals but is instant cast and shadow damage. Does not improve you in any way against the things you’re already strong against. Gives you better buttons to press against things you’re weak against. You feel a little bit more like old ranged survival by procccing precise shots and weaving whatever this is with arcane shots like you did old explosive shot. You’re then balancing the spec against not necessarily having to hard counter mages to numerically average out.

i had priest healer who did 65k dps on last boss in ulda without hero. and this was causal run.
but this clowns wanna say us that holy pala dps is high?

Don’t believe embarrassing and insane lies!

The other thing with this, and it’s the same situation with keeper of the grove/druid tranq immunity. Like there’s a discernable fail condition for bubble/block. You want to strategically try to use it around the mechanics that the game tells you break it. You know for a fact that a mass dispel or shattering throw is coming when it makes sense.

Turtle and tranq immunity are the only two with a really weird in-flight spell calculator and also simultaneously have really random conditions that break them that you cannot really relate to each other, that go through them regardless of when either ability is cast. I.e. warbringer goes through both even when the charge that procced it was immune/deflected. You can trick shots, blade flurry, and dnd cleave into both regardless of how long ago it was cast, but you cannot sweeping strikes, chain lighting, or conventionally splash/cleave into them. There’s just a random list of stuff that go through that doesn’t follow a pattern or category and nobody knows about them until they test or exploit it first.

Turtle either has a white/blacklist that is forgetting some stuff like Surge of Light for Priests used to or these are bugs similar to when you’d have Mass Invis break suddenly on entering 40 yards within an enemy or when other stealth effects like Greater Invis ended.

There isn’t a much better way to describe the inconsistency in interaction other than bugged asf. I have documented the test conditions as of this week on stream and shared it on these forums.
