Class Tuning in Progress -- January 12

He doesn’t understand what he’s talking about. Sunfire is an aoe, Moonfire (IF) you spec into twin moons can dot 2 people at once within 15yds.

The majority of class problems with Covenants is based on soulbinds, not class abilities.

This whole mess should just be ripped out of the game. Make the Soulbinds something Oribos gives you, enable people to unlock all 12 and pick whatever works, and make the Class abilities the L60 talent row.

Let the Covenants be what they need to be : Cosmetics and story.

ooh ooh me next me next!

Signed, prot warriors

Sunfire only spreads to targets within 5 yards of the initial target and moonfire can only be applied to one target at a time. If you’re seeing boomkins doing 16k it’s because they’re setting up with BOAT and properly using their CDs. That’s also only a burst window with convoke after which our damage evens out. Obviously you don’t understand how the spec works.

Your statement would be like if I were to make a blanket statement like how melees get to mindlessly strafe around every mechanic while keeping up their rotation without interruption and instantly nuking trash with instant cast abilities while ranged are constantly having to interrupt casts to stay alive.

Its funny how my posts constantly get liked and yours don’t. It’s because you’re blind, bad, and have no perspective on mistweaver. Keep spamming refresh on warcraft logs though for something to fantasize over, clown. Weird how you follow me everywhere. Looks like the hour worth of content you’re proficient in is done for the week, right?

These are not the only underperforming classes/specializations and I strongly encourage you to look at others as well. My main is an Arcane Mage (this character) and my main alt a Destruction Warlock. Right now I am basically out in the cold when it comes to being able to secure a raid spot due to how vast the gap is between the top performing classes/specs and the underperforming ones. We’re talking almost 2:1 and it’s just unconscionable to have this much of a disparity at this late stage of a raid tier. We’re not in Beta anymore, folks!

Strong for some as in like 4 specs? Marileth’s first node is literally unusable in most content. Not bad unusable. Not unusable compared to other nodes. Literally unusable as in it offers 0 benefit.

So it’s ok for 4 specs to be pigeonholed into Necrolord so that others aren’t ?

Sounds like you’re not fixing anything.

Making something viable does not equal making something pigeonholed. This isn’t a binary situation. Also what are your thoughts on marileth’s first node?

So you’re choosing to play a weak spec and taking a raid slot from a more deserving person, just because you’re GM and too stubborn to respec affliction? Yikes, I’d /gquit that faster than you could say lok’tar ogar.

Anyone else starting to feel like Mistweaver is going to get the ol’ Survival treatment circa HFC? Like Blizzard’s setting up the spec to be so bad that nobody will play it, therefore justifying a complete overhaul that nobody asked for?

Actually all of us have been asking for an overhaul/revert since 7.0. Wth are you talking about?

It’s another special unique power that only druids have–immunity to getting nerfs.

I don’t mean a “fix it” rework, I mean a “slamming that monkey’s paw on the table and breaking every finger” rework. The kind that makes people scratch their heads and wonder what the hell anyone was thinking. A WoD/MoP MW reversion would be amazing, but I doubt that’d ever happen.

Blizzard generally doesn’t try to flip the strength of specs within a class around too much. You’re not gonna get buffed to be better than Marksmanship. As long as you’re not an outlier hanging out the bottom end of all DPS specs you’re fine.

By changing Necrolord soulbinds, you’re making it viable for yourself, and creating the inverse effect of pigeonholing others into it.

Do you not understand this ?

Emeni and Bonesmith exist.

Thank you but I prefer to play a spec I love and was fine until SL.

How does buffing something automatically make other pigeonholed into it?
Do you not understand this?
If you gave necrolords a 1% buff to emeni’s lead by example does that somehow pigeonhole other people into it?
This isn’t a binary situation, stop thinking that. There exists a medium between completely under-powered and overpowered.

I think so, let the runecarver have a 3rd option. refund soul ash destroying item. Adds to the economy

You are aware that both specs are far worse than MM right, and BM is in the bottom 3?
