Choosing Who you play with is NOT Gatekeeping

I’ve never been kicked out of RDF even while leveling in full greens, only time I’ve ever even kicked someone is because they were afk or they were doing stupid things like pulling more mobs when they shouldn’t and healer was oom so we wiped.

The chances of being kicked out of RDF for not being fully geared is a lot less than what you think.

What server/faction are you on?

Maladath horde here, never seen a login queue, not transfer locked, and it’s never taken me more than 5 mins to find or get invited to a group.

Tbh by the time you get drak’tharon keep gear its on par with t6

So type 2 player prevents you from making your own groups? How are they doing that?

Do they publicly bully you in chat any time you try to make a group? Or do they force others to put you on ignore? How are they stopping you from making your own group?

what if my version of “fun” is fast clearing the dungeons to get to max level?

Imagine people just wanting to do the dungeon quests! GASP! You’re a gate keeper and frankly you should get drop kicked into a molten lava pit.

They are free to make their own group to do that.

Under your definition every multiplayer game is gatekeeping

I don’t know if you heard but they nerfed dungeon exp.

You also don’t have joyous journey to boost your exp, not sure if you heard about that being removed.

And that is gatekeeping you how?

Doubtful

People kick ppl out of group over cosmetic hats from blizz store.

If a donkey tank/healer/dps is invited to a group and realizes he’s the only donkey there, he will leave, so yeah non geared players will struggle to form groups even if they start them.

Imagine your group being the only group that’s running the dungeon, because let’s face it, not everyone wants to run that specific dungeon, but let’s just say for the sake of this scenario that you’re the only group running the dungeon and player B who wants to join your group for the dungeon really needs a reward from one of those quests.

You deny him/her an invite because you think they’re worse than a level 1 braindead who can’t even turn their character left, or they don’t fit your arbitrary rules you never specified to begin with, now imagine denying someone over something as simple as not having a higher gear score than you.

This is gate-keeping, you are actively preventing a player that wants to do that dungeon because you’re a selfish virgin who’d rather kick a baby in the face for their chocolate bar.

That might be unfair, but it’s not gatekeeping. Read what the word actually means and how it is used in 99% of conversations.

Source on this?

Imagine a scenario that never will exist.

Source - Trust me bro

I’ve done hundreds of RDF dungeons and have only seen 2-3 players kicked, again for being afk or for intentionally wiping the group.
