I agree with you but there are people on these forums and in game right now that wanted rdf removed because they were worried they would have to use rdf and end up having to run UK and nexus with people in greens.
It’s absolutely ridiculous but they made enough noise on the forums to help blizz decide to take it out. Other reasons too but I’ve seen several posts citing this as the main reason for wanting it taken out.

Whether you made the group, or use RDF has zero impact on if people talk during the dungeon

yea idk. i feel like you’re gonna be real upset in wotlk if ur harping over one dungeon leveling decline, or two, or three.
GS starts to pop off in wotlk so idk how ur gonna handle that.
I think it only popped because people didn’t know what was BIS and what wasn’t. People will just inspect at dalaran now, that’s how some pservers do it now.
GS was used as an approximation because people didn’t know what items were good back then, now the game is figured out.
yeah. that’s what i mean though. like these people that are complaining about being declined from a dungeon leveling group are gonna feel it more when they’re trying to get into groups for hard content.
In or out at this point the game still seems great so far. If they end up adding it I’m cool with it, if they decide not to add it I’m also cool with that. Most of my time will be spent in arenas or bgs

Its all GDKPs and the only one they are demanding the achievement from is the carries.
A bunch of people go and cry on the boards because they wont farm gold to get established AND aren’t good enough to carry other people to make cut.
Honestly, you shouldn’t even be able to buy end game gear with gold.
It does nothing but promote gold buying.

wotlk is supposed to be the fun expansion.
If this game becomes a meta gaming stress fest, it will become a parody of itself. Droves will take “go play retail then” seriously and they will put your game on life support.

Every expansion is the fun expansion if you choose to play with other like-minded people. If you are hardcore, play with hardcores.
I used to think that but then I realized the reason for GDKPs has nothing to do with the gold, most gdkps payouts are 500g-2kg and most pieces go for about 1-5k, some big ticket items are more. GDKPs are about incentivizing people that are done with the content to come back and carry people. Most the people use that gold to buy gear on their alts. Its just a DKP system with gold as the points. Now I agree that all gold buyers should be banned, but I bet they could ban them all and we would still have GDKPs as the biggest loot system.
I have run raids since vanilla, getting geared tanks was a massive chore, with GDKPs and a tank cut, there are far far more raids happening now than ever.
