I’ve had a few forum vacations. Some of them earned, some of them that made me go “Really? For that? Wow”.
i had one
Really? For that? when i was talking about the castlevania and why Dracula snaped
but in the real world settings
Which I always found to be a weird choice. All they would have had to do is whitelist the In Development category or whatever they do for the Support category to allow users that post images and links.
I was spared.

I don’t think the Support forums allow links to be posted either, unless I am not remembering correctly. Lots of folks on the CS forum lounge can’t post videos or links.
It all depends on how the Discourse forum software handles white list permissions. I don’t know what level those are done at. Not sure they can do it for individual sub-forums or if it is done at a higher grouping level.
Only issue is some people get false flagged and can lose trust level. Honestly the whole thing is stupid. I’ve stopped caring due to false flags against my posts and Blizzard just don’t really get half my time anymore.
You don’t get trust level removed for being flagged. You get trust level removed if a Moderator not only agrees with the flag, but suspends the person for it. So people being petty is not going to cause someone to lose TL3. They have to actually break the forum Code of Conduct and get a vacation for it. That is not in any way automated. The forum software has no ability to do that.
After 6 months people can earn the TL3 back again. It is not a permanent TL3 removal anymore.
Also good morning everyone! It seems to be dawn here and for some reason I am awake. Blah.
i got suspended from the forums once, i deserved it, i dont regret it, but it also means ill never get level 3 again.
Can you lose trust lvl if mod agrees with flag but doesn’t suspend you and if they removed your post is that a ding on your account?
Level 2 is “civilian”.
Level 3 is “citizen”.

Starship troopers is such a good movie.
The only thing I wanted was to paste this gif without having to cheese it.

They have not been clear about that, but I don’t think so. I think you need to get suspended. Mods remove posts all the time just because they are part of threads that get deleted, or the post is not really ok, but not worth a suspension over.
Ahh, so that’s what happened. I think it was if you had this alongside your name in ‘Activity’ - Group
b-license-145 …
I never seemed to lose TL3, and could post gifs etc with every character. But I had a break from the Forums at the end of last year and beginning of this, and when I returned TL3 was gone.
Love that. I might have to watch that movie tonight.
Yep, I think that is the group. The way the forums work, the permissions are assigned to the group structure, then based on criteria your character (or account) is placed into one or more groups.
You stay in trust level group 0, 1, 2, and 3 as you move up. Each group you move into has more permissions. My MVP group for example has manually applied TL3 so I can post support links and such, but it only applies to Mira, and not other characters I have. MVPs are supposed to stick to one posting character (or at least be clear who we are) and not alt hop.
I just got a post removed for trolling (and I wasn’t I was genuinely expressing what I thought blizzard was doing and explained why in detail) just last week - and here I am with T3 now so it is extremely doubtful they use that.
Vrak gave us some info on the forum software yesterday. If it is just removed by a mod (No penalty) then whatever you were flagged for is left as the reason by the software. If a Mod suspends you, they have the option to update the reason to the one they agree with and why they actually hit someone with a suspension.
I am not sure that makes much sense because you get told what it was reported for as soon as it is buried but before a moderator looks at it. I can’t remember the moderator saying anything other than they decided to remove it.
In any case, that just confirms if you had a post removed with no penalty it doesn’t count against you for the trust system.
I lost my trust level 3 status but that was probably due to an inactivity over the last month or so on the forums. RL and work was kicking my butt.
