Was wondering if my suspension can be looked into, I believe I broke no rules and was targeted by a rmt group and I would like to have my chat privileges restored ASAP.

Mass reporting isn’t a thing.

You can only appeal through tickets.
I did appeal but the wait time on the ticket is as long as the chat suspension is making the appeal process pointless almost.
It’s not going to be pointless, since (if overturned), the mark on your account will be removed, so if you get actioned again it would be the silence you have now, and not a suspension.
I see, but I’m still being punished and serving out a punishment I did not earn in a game where having your chat limited is quite impactful.
Oh well, serves me right playing the game.
Maybe. Perhaps Vrak can provide additional context if he’s around.
Ill be honest the blues have proven time and time again theres more skeletons in the closet then players claim vrak and orlyia will be brtualy honest
I have nothing to hide /shrug
Chat violations are sitting at 2 days. For apeals.
What gets most players is masked profanity vulgar comments especialy in bg masked language is still reportable.
Yeah, I understand what typically gets people muted but I’ve done none of the above.
I was using chat ( LFG/Services) to advertise trades at 1-2 minutes intervals as I have since I’ve started playing anniversary with no problem last night and awoke to a chat suspension.
Depending on the rate chat’s moving, that frequency might be enough to be considered spam.
That mite be considered spam if ur the only 1 posting thats too short of a period imho.
I actually make it a point to advertise less frequently then everyone else is.
But anyway, thanks for the answers if I get an actual response for the reason and it isn’t some sort of targeting I would be very shocked.
Thanks again.
Just to touch upon this for a bit. It doesn’t matter if one person reports you or 100 - all reports are investigated by a GM before a penalty is applied. The only thing that may happen is a temporary squelch if enough people report you in a short period of time. That squelch only lasts until a GM reviews the reports.
If there’s no violation of the in-game Code of Conduct, the squelch is removed and you won’t hear anything else about it. If there is a violation, the GM will apply the appropriate penalty. It could be a temporary silence, a suspension, or in cases of repeated behaviour or egregious misconduct - account closure.
If you already have an appeal in, that’s the best thing right now.
Personally, I’d have right-clicked and reported that for spam too. I doubt it’s targeted and more likely people who felt your posts were too spammy.
While a blue might give the underlying reason (spam/inappropriate language/etc.), the only way to appeal it if you feel that you didn’t break any rules, would be via the ticket system.
Since you have a ticket in, you’ll want to wait on that ticket.
Nightfall anniversary trade/lfg/services chat moves very quickly, everyone else is spamming once every 30 seconds so I find it very hard to believe that someone was triggered by it.
At that point, they’d get rate limited by the server.
It’s more likely that it’s just a lot of people posting.
The rate limit is 30 seconds, they are spamming every 30 seconds and would be doing it more frequently without the restriction lol.
If that’s the case, I’d have been right-clicking and reporting all of those as spam. But that’s my personal opinion. I don’t find it hard to believe others would too. Sorry.
Just to clarify, there are situations in which one may receive a lot of reports from different individuals. So with that in mind, yes, “mass reporting” is a thing. I believe your point being that “mass reporting” itself doesn’t necessarily lead to a penalty.
Outside of a temporary squelch if you are reporting for spam, those reports generally need to be verified before action is taken.
That doesn’t appear to be true, Marvinhagler. From what I can see you were advertising boosts in General Discussion, LookingForGroup and Services. Doing so in the Services channel is fine, but outside of it would be a violation of policy.
