Charlie, my friend

That we want good and consistent spec design and things that work instead of screeching at every change over the last 20 years ?

Yea

There are defs millions of players playing MM, let alone with their pet.

Like i said, this forum would be having a meltdown if it existed during mana to focus switch.

“For years i’ve been connected on a spiritual level to that blue bar, and now it’s just gone, they’re literally turning me into a rogue, blizzard ruining the game”

That you want half of the playerbase to lose their playstyle of 20 years for your M+ bullcrap

yeah

You get to say hyperboles, i get to say as well.

Its not the same thing in the lightest, yet again another false analogy

So you want to gatekeep good spec design from millions of m+ and raid players for 13 MM hunters worldwide who still use their pet ?

Crazy

Yea, the mana change was actually bigger impact, and affected more people, for once you’re correct.

you want to gatekeep good spec design by removing choices and my removing people option to have a pet.

you mean the smallest playerbase that does mythic content? that is infintely smaller compared to casuals?

Check your facts mate, the number of keys done this season is way smaller than it use to be.

By bigger impact you mean no impact, sure

This season we have ± 35m characters running m+
DF S4 we’ve had 20.1m

current MM is not good spec design.

with your obsession with adding choice we should add melee to MM just so there is more choice

All of these arguments for an against are stupid because there is absolutely no reason it has to be one or the other.

All they need to do is literally everything they’re planning to do but just leave the basic pet with growl, bite, claw, dash available and give a 5% damage reduction for summoning it baked into the spec.

It would make having the pet out the objectively lower DPS and therefore worse choice so you would never see pets in dungeons or raids just as it is now. If you think removing pets is the best idea and you absolutely hate pets then you can literally never tame One and never summon it and it would be 100% completely identical experience to removing pets for you. Absolutely nothing would change versus removing pets if they did the above if you chose not to use a pet.

And those of us that do want to use a pet for Stuff still have it available and because it’s a DPS loss there’s no balancing issues and absolutely no reason not to allow it.

Literally the only argument for not supporting keeping pets in this fashion is “but how will I get enjoyment out of other people being miserable if they let you have pets still” because there is absolutely zero tangible gameplay difference between removing pets and doing the above and you just never use the pet to the point you could literally just never tame One ever and nothing would change versus removing pets for you.

and what above 8+? regardless only 10% of the people playing wow do 10+ you are minority

Maybe for you isnt.

Moronic analogy, since MM isnt know for the choice to have a melee spec

If you want to remove the choice, remove Lone wolf and force every MM player to use pet, how about that?

No, they should have given BM an melee option.

Actually it’s cause " I don’t want to have to take my pet out to use Hero and then dismiss them" is the excuse.

Why remove choice? Give BM and MM a melee option. I think it’d be cool if BM had a lone wolf option too.

Then this just shows you didnt actually read anything I wrote.

I want you to read the below very slowly and read it again and again until you understand - this is all they need to do to please everyone:

  • Take lust and all utility off pets just like they plan - You no longer need to summon your pet for anything.
  • Do literally every single other change just like they plan.
  • Keep pets with no ability other than their basic melee skills of claw, bite, growl, dash
  • Bake a 5% damage penalty into the spec for summoning a pet

If they do these things then if you dont want to play with a pet then you can literally never use one or even tame one and absolutely nothing will change compared to removing pets for you. It will be a 100% identical experience to removing pets and you will not have to compromise a single thing over these planned changes.

Everyone else gets to keep their pets and no balancing is required because the damage penalty means you would never use them in raids and dungeons and outside of that its entirely optional but, importantly, remains an option. Again, if you dont want to use them you can just not use them and pretend they were removed.

So once again, considering there is literally no tradeoff whatsoever the ONLY valid argument against this is “But how will I get enjoyment out of other people being miserable if they let you have pets”.

If your reaction to that is anything involving abilities, mandatory pets, balancing, summoning pets and dismissing, pet mechanics in dungeons or literally anything other than “Hey you’re right it CAN be done in a way that pleases everyone” then you didnt read it correctly and need to read it again.

Repeat until you get it.

Dude relax I’m not arguing with you. I making a point that players excuse for wanting this change was they don’t like having to use a pet for Hero.

My bad sorry, misunderstood what you were saying.

Since they announced this change, I’ve complete lost interest in the game. I’ve been on the forums, but I can’t stay logged in for more than a few minutes before I log out again.

It’s strange. I have a ton of other classes, but I don’t want to play any of them. This really took it out of me. I think I’m done.

If you cancel your account, take a screenshot and send it to WatchDev on X.

Another excuse that has been thrown out is if using a pet is a dps gain then they would have to use one. They simply want only one option then they don’t have to worry if one is stronger than the other.

They don’t want to be thrown into a play-style they don’t enjoy, but it’s fine to have their choice be forced on everyone else.

It’s funny how much of this seems to be going on, in this thread.

I think it would be very neat.

All the fun of playing BM with none of the pet-ai/pathing issues

he will always be there for you still, even if he isn’t by your side helping rip the face off your enemies

But you can do that now. You only have Cobra Shot, Barbed Shot, and auto attack; however, you’re still doing damage without a pet.

There is a difference between misunderstanding and not reading/ignoring what someone said.
