Character Transfers and Destination Realm Eligibility

Is there some list somewhere that shows which realms are ineligible to be destinations for a character transfer?

Before spending time with a fresh toon on a different server to see if I am happy with the server and finding a new guild to call home, I’d like to know if I’m wasting my time.

There should be no restrictions on servers you can transfer to.

On Retail you can transfer to any server you wish using the paid transfer service.

In Classic there are specific server destinations for the free migrations. The list is on the Classic General forum.
