That might have just kicked the can down the road, some issues like this might be going on because of the difference in numbers on say PTR and live. I agree it is not good to pay for something you can’t use, but things like this are bound to be rough if only cause of increased traffic.
People in EQ2 have been begging for years for a character squish but the developers do not have the resources they have here. Many EQ2 players are so jealous …

People seem to fail to understand the internet is not the same thing from end to end.
They also fail to understand one changed variable (ie: traffic) can change the expected outcome previously tested as acceptable.

I logged in earlier today and everything was fine, then I logged in again to take a bit of a study break and ALL of my characters across all the realms I play on are gone. Not cool at all…

I remember when Rift went live, it was flawless. It was the most flawless launch of a game I had ever seen. Blizzard needs to hire those people.

I can’t even see my characters in the realm list
I was in throne of Thunder with a friend, stopped being able to cast. disconnected and now I am getting the character not found issue as well.
Been spamming “Enter World” for like 50 minutes now, alt-tabbing while it tries to load, still hasn’t worked. Time to do something else.
I could not say that part better , just the way he looks and acts , is like someone who did some things for his job , not earned it!

Same issue. A good amount of people from my friends list are in game though, so if youre logged in, dont log out lol

Seems nuts to me that there are a fair amount of people posting that talk about how they’ve had no problems whatsoever. Luckily I had time earlier in the day before folks got done with work when the servers were smooth but basically for the last few hours it’s been character not found endlessly for me, despite log outs, restarts, etc.
