Hello! I’d like to suggest to allow players to have more than just one, single word, for their character names. What if you want to create a character with a First AND a Last Name, but are unable to, unless you type it all in as only one word? I know I’d love to give my characters First AND Last Names, would YOU?

Last names, more than one capital letter, make the names linked to account name, so you can name yourself anything without fear of it being taken.
WoW’s naming system is archaic and needs improvement.

Yes. Most MMOs out there allow players to have more than just one word. For example, in the original Guild Wars game, you are forced to have more than one word in your name, but in Guild Wars 2, you can have just a single word, if you wish, or if you want to, you can have more than one word. Just using those things as examples.

There is code somewhere that will break on a space.
This has been suggested a hundred billion times. It may be beyond the developers programming skills to implement.

At least two names and the ability to use ’ in some. I don’t know how hardwired their naming coding is but it would be nice to update this. I have a character called Uan’thas Solair de Magis in another game. I mean come on blizz!
I would love first and last names but I wouldn’t look forward to all the horrible combos people come up with.

I have NEVER seen this suggestion ever before on the Forums, which is why I posted what I posted. Screenshots, or it didn’t happen.
I’ve been trolling this forum since they shut down the Off Topic in Cata. The suggestion for first and last name come up from time to time. You just missed it.
p.s. I will say there hasn’t been a thread about it recently. People are too busy crying about corruption, DHs and high elves.
It isn’t beyond their skill, it’s beyond their interest.

Huh… I brought up the Off Topic to demonstrate how long I’ve been trolling the General Discussion… not to say that’s the last time I seen the suggestion for a first and last name

No worries. It doesn’t mean the subject doesn’t need to be brought up again. WoW really needs surnames. This is just another exhibit of WoW being very far behind the times.
Honestly, if WoW was released today, it would crash and burn. The only thing keeping it going it inertia.

On one hand,I do agree it would be neat as I’m all for options especially if it piques creativity. On the other, it would most likely get ruined or abused by edgy dinguses who feel the need to make uncreative titles IE- racial and sexist slurs,food products,dead memes,sex organs or just anything offensive or immersion breaking one could think of. So this is one feature I’m kinda on the fence with.
Lol people probably won’t like this but this is likely EXACTLY why.
