Respect the original Gold Completion timers that were legitimate through a smidge of data-scrape, or even do something unorthodox (review + assignment, or remove the Realm First).

Legitimately, solution 3 NEEDS to be the one blizzard goes with. The integrity of the Realm First achievements was fundamentally compromised due to the Temple bug, and as such you guys need to just strike it from the criteria. Award Realm First to the first team on each realm who got the remaining 8/9 first - itās easy, itās elegant, and most importantly, itās fair.
Removing all the progress everyone has made, then re-releasing CMs on a Tuesday afternoon (after people competing for it already spent their PTO on launch the week prior) defeats the whole point of the realm firsts. Like Mystia said, instead of the marathon of playing well for hours and hours on end, leveling, gearing, and finally executing; it turns the achievement into a test of āWhich team can log on the fastest (while also living in a timezone where they arenāt stuck at work)ā.

This is genuinely outrageous. It was well known and documented on beta that everyone was getting the gold achievement on any clear. How the hell did it make live and how the hell are legitimate times getting hit in the crossfire?

This is why realm first achievements were removed. Too much toxicity surrounding them and no lifers engaging in unhealthy behavior. The only people mad are the ones who were able to no-life and get ahead of 99.99999% of players so they can do it first. They donāt mean anything anyways. The sad thing is these players dont realize 99.9999999% of players donāt care lol. Go to a dead realm, level first amongst 20 people and get realm first. I wish they would have just removed them in mop instead of waiting till wod. I promise youāll be okay though. People are just mad because there was no competition to getting these realm first achievements. Just do it again, if youāre skilled that is.
Too true king. While weāre at it, letās remove gladiator mounts and titles. 99.9999999% of players donāt engage in the arena system, so might as well remove those. After all, playing this game leads to unhealthy behavior, so letās save those poor souls from themselves.
While weāre at it, lets axe Heroic difficulty mount rewards from end bosses. I mean it doesnāt mean anything anyway right? Any mount goes just as fast, so who cares what it looks like? You know what? Even better, letās just get rid of different raid difficulties all together. They just lead to a more toxic environment that rewards no lifers over people who just wanna walk in blind ya know?
I agree with you, that itās deeply sad when people find extrinsic motivation to engage with this game and itās systems that donāt revolve around logging in once per week, doing a single raid, then logging off til next week.
Thank god for folks like you and I , who are among the 99.9999999% of players who donāt care about this sort of stuff, and would never spend our finite time on this earth typing on a forum about just how much we donāt care about it. After all, it doesnāt affect us, right?

The fact rewards were being given incorrectly means none of those achievements are legitimate. Thereās still the chance to do world firsts.

Imagine caring this much about a 15 year old game, then being this distraught your 15 year old pixels are gone. My god these classic releases are embarrassing to see people so invested in something so worthless.
If I have to see another āworld firstā or ārealm firstā on a classic launch Iām gonna gouge my eyes out. Realm first and world first simply mean āmost degenerateā. The game isnāt hard, congratulations you are jobless living with your parents at 43 and you can stay up to play wow. Do you really want a title to honor that?

How does forum reposts relate to doing 85-90 in one session then spamming cm dungeons?
If I have 1000 posts which take approx 1min over the coarse of 15 years. How is that comparable to someone going insane try hard sweat lord and putting in 2 18 hour days for a ārealm firstā

This is my main and legitimately the first time Iāve ever posted on the official WoW forums. You chose to spend approx 16 hours over 15 years posting on the forums, whereas I never have before yesterday. Letās say Iāve spent zero hours posting on the forums. Instead, I chose to spend about 20 hours leveling to 90 and trying for realm first CMs, something Iāve never done before and enjoyed doing. Weird how different people choose to do different things with their time, isnāt it?

20 hours over 15 years, 20 hours in 1 day. You also said 18 hours practicing on beta, so weāre up to 36 hours. Who knows how much additional time you actually did. Itās more embarrassing you feel itās necessary to post on alts to pretend to agree with your mains posts.
But you go for it, get that realm first that no one else cares about but Iām sure youāll be putting it on your resume thinking itās actually an accomplishment.

my very first post is the third one in this thread (i know you have difficulty reading so thought iād point it out), upset about the egregious reset Blizzard decided to make to challenge modes, because frankly i am pissed with their decision and felt compelled to post about it. according to the other posts in this thread, looks like others felt similarly. it just so happens a number of other people agree with me and it isnāt some large alt army conspiracy that you wish it was. i know you wish so badly we were losers with no lives, but it is the opposite, and we just enjoy this aspect of classic wow despite it being 15 year old content. it may be difficult for you to understand, however, as this is something you will never be able to achieve, as you are too busy trolling on official Blizzard forums.
